This is so fun! My son loves it! We ask it for help spelling during homework and it plays are favorite music.

i use it as a timer when im cooking. and play music. i know there is much more to use it for.. love having it

Unless you have been under a rock, you know about Alexa. She has many capabilities, the most used of which are unit conversion and music playing. I purchased five of these and placed them throughout my house for easy access to my smart home devices. I use them to control smart plugs, smart switches, Phillips Hue, my entertainment system via Logitech Harmony, and many other devices. While it does take a bit of setup, it is nice to say "Goodnight Alexa" and have the TV and lights turn off as well as setting the heat lower and locking the doors. Many have criticized the speaker on these, but it is actually quite good for the size. You will not get audiophile quality sound, but it is fine for background music while cooking, or playing your morning news while brushing your teeth. If you have a super secret conversation to have, you can turn off the microphone with a push of a button. You can do so many things with Alexa already and more skills are being added all the time with automatic updates. I am really enjoying my Dots.

Excellent Best Buy purchase as the combo saved me a lot of $$. Echo Dot is just one technology that's making our life so much easier. We currently have 3 installed in our home and it has been so cool and easy integrating it with a lot of our Alexa compatible smart home products. Highly recommended.

This device does so much, I’m discovering new things it can do every day. Nice to control hue lights by voice.

We’ve really enjoyed this product and bought more to use in other rooms. So easy to connect to other devices!

Right out of the box the Dot is easy to get setup and connected. The voice commands work surprisingly well. Family and friends enjoy playing games and asking questions of Alexa. One down side is the length of the included power cable - if it were longer then the Dot could easily reach most bookcases and counters.

Gave this as a gift to my grand daughter who is a freshman in collage. She and her roommates love this device!

This product is great, works well with my Logitech harmony hub. And Best Buy had the Best Price too....!!!!!

We choose this product instead of the larger unit. This will recognize your voice even if you don't talk load

Now we turn on lights, music, check weather, order groceries and items talking to a cube. Jetsons were real.
