Friends had similar item and we liked what they were saying about it and wanted to add the Echo to our home.

Love the Eco Dot it is so easy and has lost of things you can do. I would get another one for another room.

I got the dot for my family and I have to say they love it -- they have many questions for Alexa and she does her best to answer all of them -- she tells bed time stories and even sings -- we also got the belkin for our lamps and fans and Alexa has no problem with turning them on and off with a simple voice command

I really like this because it allows me to do several cool things over wifi and Bluetooth. Really cool tech.

The Echo Dot has improved sound quality. It is good for the size of the product. Like the portability of it.

Set this up in my office with my Bose radio replacing a Bluetooth device. Makes it much easier to play music

The kids and I use this to listen to music, check the weather, set timers and alarms, and I use the TrackR skill to help me find my phone. We also purchased a few light bulbs and outlets to use wit Alexa, but haven't set them up yet. My 3-yr old really loves saying "Alexa, good night" and seeing how she responds.

The Amazon Eho Dot is a great way to get familiar with Amazon Echo and Alexa, it is inexpensive compared to the rest of the lineup, small enough to be taken anywhere and can be connected to any stereo via Bluetooth if available or audio jack. Alexa is much better than Siri, I would definitely recommend getting the echo dot if you're thinking about it. I do wish that it had a built in battery like the Amazon Tap but other than that it's great.

Bought the Echo Dot thinking that it would be something that the grandkids could play with but they lost interest real quick. I was then planning to box it up an return it when I decided to give it a try for myself. Although I have a 4 zone Sonos system in my house, I find that asking Alexa to play certain songs is much easier than having to search for music on a phone or tablet to control my Sonos system. I am anxiously awaiting for the Sonos integration with Alexa to be released to get even more use from the Echo Dot. I find that most skills are pretty useless which I think is due to not having any visual interaction as you get with a phone or tablet. I also am planning to use the Echo Dot to control my Philips Hue Lights and Nest Thermostat that I recently purchased. Overall I think the Echo Dot has potential and overtime think more uses will be developed to take advantage of these types of devices. One more thing, the voice recognition works pretty good even overtop songs playing at the highest volume. For the price point of entry it is a worthwhile experience that I recommend..

I really like Dots. They know quite a bit and are getting better. I but them as gifts and people enjoy them.

I love it. The dot does everything I need it to. I control my hue lights, play music, ask for tips, get traffic and weather. I love the idea that it is always getting smarter and can do more things as Amazon updates it. I especially like how it ties all my Amazon stuff together making purchases so easy. A good buy!

The Amazon Echo Dot is an amazing piece of hardware especially for the price point. Easy to set up and use.

I bought this gift for my husband who has Parkinson Disease. Now it is easy for him to know basic information as to month and day of the week. He can ask Alexa to play his favorite country songs by Johnny Cash and George Jones and feel more connected. It is a great product at a very reasonable price.

Got 3 one for each kid. They use for music, quick school work help, weather.....great addition to the home.

Works great! Speaker is limited but when hooked up to a larger speaker it works well. It will continue to get better. Voice recognization is good, but not when music is playing.

Bought one for each kid who is 9 and 12. They love it, they can use it to play music, they use it for an alarm, tell bedtime stories, jeopardy, it's really good for the nightstand. Free Music is probably the best part of it, I-heart-radio, Pandora, etc. you can also set a sleep timer, so you can go to bed to music

Great thing to have around the house. Easy to get the weather, set a timer or listen to the news and music!
