Dot does everything the other echos do. But it is sort of cheap sounding for music. If you want good sound, I would go with the echo plus or the show. Other wise it works great, no complains.

I actually purchased this based on a friends recommendation and my family enjoys using the echo dot in our home. I do recommend that you speak slowly and clearly so that Alexa can properly assist you.

Absolutely love asking Alexa what the temperature is every day!!! And since I have Prime she plays any type of music I ask!

My 3rd DOT very effective and affordable my kids love it on a simple fact that they can do things at home by using their voice.

The Echo Dot could not be set up. Not sure if it did not work along with the other Echo or what the problem was. Item was returned.

Echo dot has the same brain as Alexa, it’s sweet that i hooked it up to my bose speaker system for the sound quality

For how much money it costs the speaker quality is very poor. I knew it wouldn't be as loud as the big echo but I was shocked at how quiet it is.

It was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I am having fun with Alexa and my wife calls her my new girl friend.

I love her when she can hear me. Most times she only listens to my husband, I guess because his voice is deeper. The app linked to it is awful though so don't ever disconnect wifi.

I have multiples of these around my house it controls almost everything in my house but the sound quality is not the best so I plug them in to external speakers to get better sound

Alexa is helpful for things like setting alarms and adjusting our Hue lights. We've had snafus where it hears "Alexa" when we don't say Alexa and she starts answering questions we haven't asked.

It is hard for her to understand what I want to order on amazon. I heard she keeps learning from us so hoping this gets better. She is very entertaining and I would recommend this product in your home.

The echo dot works better than expected. My kids love it as well. Very cool to connect to other things and control the house.
