I mainly use it to control my lights but it does so much more. Ask about the weather. Ask about sports scores. Ask Alexa to play a song and she does that too. My 3 yr old enjoys it as well. I really don’t think i utilize it enough. It’s pretty great. I’m going to purchase more.

The Echo Dot is a phenomenal little device. It does everything that its bigger siblings can. The only knock I have against it is the lack in quality of speaker when listening to music. No bottom end and partially harsh mids. The solution is a Bluetooth speaker or connecting to a sound system via the aux output. I measure technology by if it will improve the quality of my life. This device will definitely do that.

I have one at my house and purchased several for employee gifts. Would definitely recommend

Alexa pretty much understands everything I throw at her. She doesn’t understand a few words here and there but could be due to my accent lol overall good buy.

I bought this for my wife. She said its the best gift ever! We hooked this up to my Bose speakers and she's having fun with it. She enjoys listening to music on command, using it for an alarm, and getting the weather. I know she will be using the shopping too. Great purchase!!

I like Amazon Echo for the features it has. But the volume is low which is expected. Once you use any speaker to connect then everything works fine. We get what we paid for. For $50 dollars, we cannot expect more than this and Amazon is improving user experience day by day.

I have had one of these for a year and have had a lot of fun with it. Recently bought 2 more for gifts for people that have fun with it when they come over.

I love my Echo Dot! I can listen to my favorite radio station, get weather updates on the spot, and set an alarm. I have my outlets programmed so I can turn lights on even when my hands are full. It’s like having a very helpful roommate without the drama.

I have an Amazon Echo full size at home and absolutely love it. Bought the Dot for my office at work. I use the timer and alarm feature all the time. I also use it to do mathematical calculations. It is also great for weather. I only gave it 4 stars because the sound on the Dot is not quite as good as on the full size Echo. You will not be disappointed if you purchase any Echo device.

I purchased this as a gift for my father and it was well worth the price! The voice activation features make it a lot easier for an older person to be able to get the information they want instead of having to use the computer. It doesn't take up a lot of space and is easy to set up.

This was a gift for my dad. He had a Kindle, so this paired nicely. He like to check the weather, sports, etc. Great item if you don't want to buy the Echo.

This is a great product and performs as advertised. I found it very easy to set up and has great functionality. Not only plays music from Amazon, but also links to other media sources such as Iheart radio and Pandora. I connected mine to my existing stereo receiver. Great value too.

Needs to include better installation instructions. Once it was setup up it was fun to use.

I have not explored everything that I can do with my Echo Dot, but I do enjoy having it, using it mainly for setting alarms, for the weather, and for playing music. I gave it 4 stars because it can't do one thing that is important to me, which is play my playlists on Spotify. I spoke with Amazon customer support and was told that they are aware of the problem and are "working" on it, without any timeline as to when it will be fixed. Because of that, I returned the second Echo Dot I had bought. But I like having the one I kept, even though it lacks playlist playing capability.
