My teenage daughter figured it out quickly and started using it. She loves it!!!!

We have two dots one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. Once you learn how to ask her the questions she is very helpful. Have the almost all the lights in the house fitted with tp-link switches and plugs and she works get with them and without the use of a bridge

The Amazon Echo Dot is a simple to configure and extremely useful device. Terrific as a music streaming device (best with a Prime account) and home automation hub. Pair it with a portable Bluetooth speaker for better functionality that a full Echo at 1/3 of the cost.

Easy to set up. Added one upstairs, in the Master Bedroom and in the RV at work. All connect to the main group and receive all announcements, as well as drop-in conversations. Easily connects with all the other smart devices we have.

This was a great Christmas gift for my mother. I'd buy it again in a heart beat!

This is the best thing since sliced bread. Alexa knows it all. Works flawlessly.

How did I live before Alexa? The Amazon Echo Dot is small, but packed with functionality. From turning on lights to ordering Pizza, Alexa will assist quickly with those things you find yourself doing on a day-to-day basis. I now have two - three may be in my future!

Have an echo classic and wanted something for smaller area and this fit the bill

We own several Echo dots and really enjoy them. It's really nice that they can interconnect with one another. It is easy and convenient for kids to use as well. She not only place music but can answer questions. The only slight down fall is that she is stubborn at times and doesn't always listen when talked to, especially when the music is loud.

I use this gadget in the kitchen to play music, grocery lists, and so much more.

I bought two units (black and white) this black unit was the first to be set up and nothing but compliments about how amazing Alexa is and all the Skills has to keep expanding its uses. This Echo needs to be plugged in at all times and the volume to playback music is just okay. My second white unit is the total opposite, doesn't respond well and just troubles with it at the time.

Pairing the dot with my Echo is a great thing. Doesn't matter what room I am in.

I purchased this for the basement so I could give Alexa commands to control the thermostat and lights. Have the full size Echo upstairs. The sound on the Dot is not impressive, but you have all the Alexa functionality. Dot is great for places where you don't need quality sound or when you have limited space. If you want to use your Echo as a speaker, buy the full size Echo - not the Dot.

Love not having to look up an artist's music ...it plays as soon as I request it
