I got this mainly for the smart LED bulbs but have found that i will be using it for much more. Can’t wait to see what tech will be integrated with this technology in the future.

I love Echo Dot!

I bought it for a friend in a rehab hospital, and it has been so much fun for her. It is small, and was easy to set up. She has fun talking to Alexa and was able to listen to the music she loves.

Loud enough for the size

U can listen to music,FM and when bored you can play with alexa!Its compact so requires less space than any other amazon echo products..one can set alarm as well..Quiet happy with the purchase and my friend loves it..

Just added four more dots. Kids can ask it questions for homework and even just how to spell something (I've been replaced). We use it for home automation as well, very convenient. of course this requires more hardware. I tell it that I'm going to bed and it shuts off the TV, locks the doors, checks the garage door and shuts it if still opened, turns the heat down and shuts off all the lights except the ones needed to get to the bedroom which it turns on. I can tell "her" to shut those off when I get there. My only beefs are my kids like to tell "her" to add things to my to do list, like "grow hair" and if you have it play music they are not linked, so even if you pick the same content they play different things in each room.

It does the same thing in a smaller package and smaller price. The advantage is you can travel easier with it and it can connect to a bluetooth speaker which is a plus.
