I was very eager to break this open out of the box. I had heard great things from friends but usually like to form my own opinion. This has gone beyond my expectation with it’s ability. I bought a second one for my classroom as i can see it a wonderful addition to the learning environment.

Love my echo dot. Speaker produces great sound. Connect easily. Set up in minutes. Learn new skills through app. Turn lights on and off. Many ways to enjoy the echo dot. Go ahead and get one.

I bought the echo dot for my granddaughter for her 11th birthday. She was so excited to get it for listening to music and to be able to turn her bedroom lights out without having to get up.

Easy to use very helpful Saw one at my daughters which sparked my interest. No disappoint.

So far all is good except that the volume is not that loud when put volume to the highest.

I use mine mostly as an alarm clock. I just tell it what time to wake me, it confirms, and wakes me at the correct time. It is also good for quickly accessing information. Overall, I am pleased. I wish it would be easier to import music to it; that is why I only gave 4 stars.

This thing is so cool. For someone like me who isn’t super good at all the new technology the basic things the Echo offers are perfect. I listen to music on it and use the timer and ask about the weather and stuff like that. I bought one for my dad for Christmas because I love mine so much

For the price and how compact it is, thise device is very clear and understands what you are saying. Obviously smaller than Alexa so it is easier to hide. Definitely takes up much less space.

I love this Echo Dot and use it all of the time when I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner. Usually I just listen to Pandora on it and use it to set timers when I'm cooking.

Got on sale during the holidays...they are usually on sale and can buy one for each room without spending too much. Works well with blue tooth speakers for louder sound.

Great buy. Got for bedroom. Does a good job and used a lot for playing my Spotify playlist

This is my second dot in two weeks. It tells jokes, plays my pandora stations. It's great

great item to go along with all of our other amazon products and just the right size too.

Echo dot is very easy to setup and easy to use. I would recommend this product to anyone.

So, this little guy is just fun to play around with. The app still needs some UI work, as it's not the most intuitive but it serves the purpose for now. I would like to see Amazon and Apple put down their weapons and just make everything work together as incorporating iTunes into the Echo's system would make it that much more impressive. I understand there is direct competition in this industry but all ships rise together in the world of smart home. That being said I use this to control my Lifx lightbulbs and pandora, as well as get news updates. Alexa connects to my bluetooth speakers with ease and she generally is really good at understanding what I'm asking her.

I love it.. I purchased one for my elderly grand mother and she loves it.. she can get information and listen to music.. ask questions.. it is perfect for her.. because she can not see well..

I received a pair of Dots for Christmas and immediately appreciated the technology that they represented. So cool to just talk to Alexa, and have her respond quickly and accurately. Of course, there is a learning curve for her to recognize your voice, so be ready to laugh at first. But after some practice, things are rolling along smoothly. I found that I had to purchase a 3rd dot, as our 2 story condo needed extra coverage to be able to communicate to the living room, office and master bedroom. There are updates that come by email, letting me know about improvements and other ways to use the dot more effectively. What a GREAT product!!

I like the Echo Dot a lot. I plugged it into some old computer speakers in my master bedroom. It is great for setting wake up alarms and falling asleep to relaxing music. I have no complaints.

This is a nice gadget specially if you have smart home system. I used to like the 1st generation rotate for volume increase or decrease. Plus I wish Alexa would respond "I don't think I heard the question right " instead of saying I don't know the answer... Or sometimes just ignore you .

I bought this Echo Dot 2nd generation to go with my larger Echo 1st generation. The speakers are not as good for music as the larger echo, but I knew that when I bought it. I like the volume control on top. My larger echo does not have that. But the price was great and works for my needs.
