I bought this Echo Dot 2nd generation to go with my larger Echo 1st generation. The speakers are not as good for music as the larger echo, but I knew that when I bought it. I like the volume control on top. My larger echo does not have that. But the price was great and works for my needs.

This is a nice gadget specially if you have smart home system. I used to like the 1st generation rotate for volume increase or decrease. Plus I wish Alexa would respond "I don't think I heard the question right " instead of saying I don't know the answer... Or sometimes just ignore you .

I love this Echo Dot and use it all of the time when I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner. Usually I just listen to Pandora on it and use it to set timers when I'm cooking.

Got on sale during the holidays...they are usually on sale and can buy one for each room without spending too much. Works well with blue tooth speakers for louder sound.

The Echo Dot was entirely new to me. It was like acquiring a new friend. It's amazing how you can ask it questions and get immediate answers. I'm still learning what all it can do.

The echo dot works as advertised. This is my second Dot and it was easy to set up. The one closest to your voice will pick up the command and respond. I have no issues with both of them responding.With having the two dots makes it easier controlling the lights in our house.

My daughter bought this with her Xmas money and uses it on a regular basis. Works great as an alarm and music player for her room. She has even used it for help with her homework!

Had purchased the Echo for the living room ,saw the dot on sale at best buy and purchased it for my bedroom,work great for playing music ,alarm to wake up ,and works well with the hue

I connected this to my Insignia soundbar with bluetooth...Music sounds great...I also got 2 TP-LINK smart bulbs. I finally replaced my 25 year old X-10 modules for my lights! It works great.

I like the product and I'm finding more ways to integrate it into my daily routine. Still haven't been able to get it to work with Uber quite yet. And Phillips Hue skill still needs a lot of work. All in all, unique product and cheap enough to explore and try out. Not a must have.

I am impressed with power of this small device as it has capability of self learning. Based off the case which is almost cheaper than any Bluetooth Speaker, it is more effective (sound quality wise) and ease of use to automate many tasks in your house on the command of your voice.

I started with the DOT to see if I liked using it to graduate up to the full size Alexa, very easy to set up use and is great to start you day off with news of the day and your commute tips!

It is a great, helpful, and fun device. The entire family uses it all day long. It is very easy to install and user friendly. It makes life easier and it makes our house into a smart home.

Does everything the Echo does but cheaper. Can link together and bluetooth speaker if you need more volume but perfect bedrooms. I control my Dish and home security system. I love it.

Purchased this at a great price so I bought 3 of them to gift out as Christmas presents.

Easy to set up right out of the box. Looking forward to improvements as it "grows". Have it hooked up to a bluetooth speaker which expands the sound, although there can be some lag between them so you don't hear the first words from Alexa. A fun family gift at a reasonable price.

Set-up was a bit tedious and involved, but still good. Don't expect it to do EVERYTHING.

We love using the dot and have 2 regular echo speakers as well. We have just started home automation and have hooked up some smart lights which is pretty cool! I plugged the free outlet into a lamp that had a difficult switch to turn on and now I can just ask Alexa to turn my lamp on :)
