Easy to set up right out of the box. Looking forward to improvements as it "grows". Have it hooked up to a bluetooth speaker which expands the sound, although there can be some lag between them so you don't hear the first words from Alexa. A fun family gift at a reasonable price.

Fun to have when you have that odd question or can not remember just who that actor was.

Because this is a Christmas present I have not set up the Dot. We currently have the Echo Tap and love it. Reading the info I hope to leave the tap in another room...able to use and also able to sync with Tap for music. Very happy with the Amazon products and especially for this price!

Love this product and is nice to ask anything you need to know like weather or store hours or location and I have my thermostats in the house and garage linked to it. I love this product.

Have really enjoyed the dot. I bought 2 of them. I have one in my bedroom and the other is outside with my husbands stereo stuff. When my husband is barbecuing he likes to listen to music. Now he can listen to whatever he wants and its great to time whatever you are cooking.

I got this for free with my ecobee thermostat but even if I had to pay it's definitely worth the money. Great sounds for such a small product and definitely helpful.

Amazon's Echo Dot is my first step into a talking encyclopedia. That's what I thought this was. WOW was I wrong! This mini miracle of technology ties in the vast knowledge base of encyclopedias and control of other technologies. This device has quickly become my new Personal Assistant.

Great extension of the echo, and if you hook up a Bluetooth speaker it sounds amazing!!

The dot is an amazing little helper. So easy to setup and low profile for placement anywhere in the room. I hooked it up to my stereo with the aux jack and it sounds awesome. Love my dot!!

Amazon really built a winner with their stand alone Echo!! So much a winner, in fact, that the market opened up for a Bluetooth or hard wired "Mini Me" that offers the same capability with much lower cost & a smaller footprint! Hence, the Dot, Generation 2, was born! I highly recommend the Dot if you want to connect it to an existing sound system via Bluetooth or hard wire.The Dot can even direct the closest Dot to respond to the person asking questions - try that with Echo & you will get a verbal response from ALL within earshot!

How can you go wrong. At this low price, you get Alexa in a small form factor which can go anywhere in your home. Bring the power of voice recognition into your house and enjoy music, smart home applications, weather, sports reports and hundreds, if not thousands, of additional skills.

Works as promised, does all the web lookups via voice commands. It comes in very handy.

We love our echo dot. Smaller model fits almost anywhere and streams music beautifully.

I got this for my kids room. Absolutely a must for any parent having to yell thru the house to get their kids attention! Lol it works exactly like the Amazon Alexa but their definitely is a difference in speaker volume sound. (Not the products fault, just a smaller speaker) it is perfect for anywhere is the house and in the kids room. But if u r looking for big sound for music- the Alexa is the way to go!

It’s an easy system that my husband and I abuse. We ask Alexa to turn on the lights, okay music, play baby music for our daughter, for the weather. We use her for a lot.

Use my dot daily. Easy to set up and use. Great for background music, weather and traffic in the morning. Sound is not as good as the echo but it is good enough and serves its purpose

I have both Google home and the echo dot. They both are really both. One thing I like more with the dot is that you can have it send messages to other people that has any echo device. I like using my dot while I play Destiny 2. You can easily do certain things in the game with ghost.

Easy to set up if you have a Amazon account. Command words are listed in the Alexa app.

It was really easy to set up with other devices works great. Glad i made the purchase.
