use it to play music just by voice, answers most questions but I do stump it at times

Easy to use, as easy as ABC .take up less space . The best part about this item, is having everything in one like information and a solution to any problems are questions you have.

We use our Echo and Dot for a lot around the house. This goes by our bed and is our alarm, morning news brief, bedtime speaker, and general information gadget. I would buy another one.

I've got the Gen 2 echo dot, Phillips Hue lights, and a Harmony Companion. All 3 work together with ease! Everything is turned on in my theater room now with my voice! It's amazing!!!!

I was reading reviews and sometimes it says it doesn’t respond. That is true, I’m just assuming Alexa doesn’t here me though. Had a hard time setting up my Philips hue with this, but a quick call to Philips and it was all figured out. I love Alexa for turning on and off my lights.

So far has been a good buy. Works well and haven’t had to keep repeating what I say.

I love the echo. Besides playing our favorite music we can control our lights and appliances with it check movie times weather and place orders on Amazon. It's fun and makes life easy.

I really wasn't sure what I would do with this, But for the price Why not.. I honestly love this thing. Alarm feature and timer are quite useful as is the weather feature. Worth the buy

got it a gift for my nephew; he likes it; uses it to listen to music and other suff.

If you're not good with gadgets or technology this is a great way to start. Very simple, easy to get up and running. If you are more advanced, you might feel this is too simple and should be the real Echo. Sound for music and speaking is better on the bigger model.

Probably get at least a 6th. Can use them as intercoms can use them to play music in my whole house use them to turn about 20 lights on and off use them to change the thermostat using to turn on TVs and change inputs and it'll do a whole lot more once I get it it all figured out

Great buy if you have a good Bluetooth speaker to connect then you don't need Echo. Echo dot does the work and it is small. But always require to be connected to power at all times

I just love this Echo Dot for the kids room and bathroom they are excellent so I don’t have to worry about them breaking my Echo. The sound is great and the size is terrific

This thing has superior sound response and has many improvements from the previous generation. Works flawlessly in my home with multiple units running lights, thermostat and plugs.

...as in hockey score...come on the device is small and round like a...never mind :) I already own an Alexa Echo and Tap though this is my first Dot. I only wish it was wireless then again would one remember to pick it up and move around the house with it? For $39 on sale, I like it. Got a white one, well actually also got a black one at BB. Normally do black for tech purchases and it looks nice in white. The built in speaker at base of unit 360 degree around believe works good enough that I don't feel the need to connect a wireless Bluetooth speaker to device. Mostly ask about Alexa deals each day when i remember to, news brief. Would recommend the device to others. A friend puts his in a bowel to enhance the sound effect. Like to speak to Alexa without having to Tab the device to interact with device thus buy a Dot. The Tap model requires you...wait for it...to tap the device. Like my Dot and would recommend it n sale at $39

The amazon Echo Dot is a compact tool that allows users to request various types of information,play music, turn on/off lights, etc. Don't know how we lived without this for so longh!

I bought the Dot for the bedroom due to its compact size and it fits perfectly on the nightstand and performs flawlessly. It picks up the WiFi from a significant distance and has never lost the signal. Every day I learn a new use for it. It has taken the place of an old, large alarm clock. I also have the original Echo and the Tap and this is a perfect complement to those devices. Amazon continues to amaze me! Highly recommend; you can't go wrong with this device, especially for the price, size and capabilities.

So smart and convenient. We love all the different skills. The ones we use most are news, jeopardy, weather, alarm, Amazon ordering, sound machine, music, and random questions.
