This is my first product for entering into virtual assistant speakers. Good: Responsive and sweet AI voice to get more info and play music from various sources. Bad: Volume is soft and base is virtually absent. Resolution: Upgrade to echo plus second gen. Ugly: listens all the time and sometime interjects into conversation with wrong trigger word. Resolution: Change word to: Computer, Echo or Amazon instead of Alexa. Hopefully this is helpful to new customers, who are hesitant to purchase echo dot. Thanks for reading..

Needed something unique to get as a Christmas present, and had heard great things about the Echo line of products. This was too good of a deal to pass up, and the recipients will surely love it. Should have purchased one for myself. Maybe next time.

We have six of these throughout the house do I need to say more? They are small they are handy and they make home automation easy to implement.

Easy to program, use in master to control two lights and for music.

Bought the echo dot for additional room to use voice control. Works great so we bought another for the bedroom. We have lights,switches and a fireplace connected for voice control. Very pleased. Also can connect to home stereo with Bluetooth.

Our second Dot for the other side of the house. We've come to rely on Alexa for a lot of information. I've used Google Home too, but prefer the Amazon devices. I will say Google seems overall "smarter" the I found Alexa more useful for my daily needs.

Is able to hear you just as well as the full sized echo, plus with the ability to attach it to any speaker I'd like, PLUS on sale for $29. What's not to like?

I LOVE Alexa!!! I hooked it up to my Bose radio and it sounds awesome! I can check my news in the morning. I can control my lights...it’s great!!!

The Echo Dot is a really neat device. Good sound and hooks up to other Bluetooth speakers. Have it controlling my bedroom lights and thermostat. Works great b

I have multiple Dots/Echos in my home and these little Dots are the best for a bathroom or to have linked to a bigger Bluetooth speaker. They don't have the capacity of volume like the Echo's but they do the job for having a smart house set up

Checking weather? What are a store's hours? Playing music? Hands free kitchen timers? White noise machine? These are some of the things I do with my Echo Dot, and it performs very well. Planning to but one of the new ones to outfit the whole house.

the dot is an excellent item to use in connection with other amazon products. It pairs easy with most home items that work with them. Very easy to set up,

What's not to love. Used to be you either had to go to a library or get the encyclopedias out. Then we got the Internet so it was faster to use search engines for info, now we have the echo dot. Just say the wake word then wiki, then whatever it is you want to know. It controls appliances and outlets and light bulbs and the amazon Fire stick. It keeps getting smarter by adding skills to it. Some of the jokes are rated g some are nc 17 and worse. Adding your own blue tooth speaker makes it even better when you have Amazon prime to access a ridiculous amount of music. No regrets yet.

Fine tuning Echo can be a little time consuming but love the functionality of her. Very entertaining. Connects to most devices and sounds great. Love that she has most of the answers and can help light up the house. She truly is an assistant.
