Accurate and hears your voice from a good distance. If you pair with a bluetooth or aux speaker, it works just like the more expensive model.

I decided to get this over the regular echo because of the price and I was not disappointed. I can stream music on it which is good. It is loud but the clarity is not great I got some 10 dollar Bluetooth speakers and it sounds great now

This is my 2nd echo dot to pair with my echo and other dot to create a smarter home. Does what it's supposed to. Only wish Amazon and Google would work seamlessly together so I could access my Play acct thru Alexa. Nice bonus getting the tpLink mini smart plug for $5 with the dot purchase (instead of the bulky plug bundled with Amazon's special)

This works wonderfully, I set it up with smart plugs on my lamps in my living room and now I can turn my lights on or off just by asking Alexa.

Ask Alexa what you will. Spelling, weather, jokes, music, to-do lists, timer, reminders, news, play games, recipes. Alexa is a good little friend to have.

I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY IT'S SO COMPACT AND POWERFUL. AMAZING HOW IT WORKS. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT AND IT PAIRS EASILY WITH MY BLUE TOOTH SPEAKER.

I had my Echo centered in my home but there are so many walls and rooms from one end to the other that 1 echo was not doing it for me. I purchased 4 and placed them in each room. Now there are no issues with distance and executing commands.

I put the Dot in my daughter's room. She loves to have sound while she is sleeping. The sound is not as good as my original Amazon Echo, but great for her room. I did not want the size of the Echo in her room, so the Dot was a good option.

We are really enjoying the Echo Dot at our house. The shopping list function is enough to make it worth the price. We play music, ask it for jokes, check the weather, and basically talk to it all day. It is a welcome addition to our house.

This was my third echo dot. I am using several of these echo dots around the house to do things like control the lighting of Christmas decorations from various levels within house. These devices will play Christmas music as an added bonus;

Fantastic speakers and all around sound. Great for tons of things ie..alarms and timers, calender, lists, phone numbers...easy for the novice

Pros- My 6 year old plays games with it, listens to music while going to bed and ask about the weather for the next day. It is user friendly. The alarm is helpful. Con- It has come on by it self at times, speaking out of no where.

I really love the Echo Dot - however she does seem to like my husbands voice over mine - not sure if it's a male (deeper) vs. female (higher) voice or something that makes the difference, but I do have to repeat my request sometimes. Most of the time it works flawlessly. I keep mine in the kitchen hooked to a Bose Mini II speaker to listen to music, but my most favorite feature (especially over Christmas) was setting a timer. As I was cooking many dishes over the holiday break, i didn't have to wash my hands to manually set a timer - i just told Alexa to set one for me. Best thing ever and so handy. I love listening to my Amazon Prime playlists and various stations Amazon already has set up. It's also convenient to ask what the weather will be like. So far so good, i'm really enjoying having my Dot!
