I like these echo dots. They are affordable and easy to set up. They link with lots of smart home devices to make you home more automated. The only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 is it sometimes has trouble "hearing" me even when I am right next to it.

I was really excited about getting one and for $30 on black Friday, it was a no brainer. They only thing that bothered me a bit was that it had to be plugged in, meaning its not portable. Other than that, its a great little tool for alarms, music, etc.

Love that I can ask her quick questions such as weather and plays songs too!

The Echo Dot is a small product from Amazon featuring Alexa. You activate it by saying Alexa and then you can ask her a question, have her play music games etc. New skills are being added to Alexa every day. I enjoy playing Jeopardy. I also ask Alexa the weather forcast every morning. I have her linked by bluetooth to a speaker which orgs great when I play music on the Dot. Alexa can also control many smart devices.

The Echo Dot is by far one of the coolest purchases I've made for 2016! The voice recognition of Alexa is unbeatable. She understands anything I say, no matter how I say it. Integration with my Logitech Harmony Hub is nice as well. When the remote is nowhere to be found, or I am just being particularly lazy, Alexa can turn on all of my TV equipment. Even my mother, who is a tech novice loves using Alexa. Great job Amazon!

Works great just like the Echo setup was easy Told Alexa to go in to discovery mode and it found 10 out of 11 devices used zip code in setup and asked Alexa what the weather was going to do today and it got the city I live in rite not sure witch device it missed may the wife has 1 turned OFF. This was a good purchase In my opinion this would make a grate gift for some one that dose not have one. I just might order the 6 pack

Great for the price, the only real thing I can see that you give up is the speaker quality and loudness. Other than that, mind the devices that it connects to, such as bluetooth speakers and your phone. This can mute the unit while they are connected.

Very functional you can do lot of things with this lil speaker . I love that it plays pandora and Spotify . Also I save lot lot of money on amazon buying through Alexa

I like the additional speaker and access from another room. Set up was quick and easy.

We have 2 Dots. The drop in feature is great. It acts liek a intercom between the devices. We have automated 3 lights in the house and working on getting more devices.

I purchased the Dot as a family gift & we’ve had fun with it. Good sound & easy setup.

I've got 4 dots scattered around the house and I love them. I tried Google Home, and it just didn't feel as well put to gether and integrated with everything I have.

I already have an Echo and I use the Dot for a different room in the house. We purchased an old house and it does not have light switches in most rooms and Alexa helps turn on lights utilizing Philips Hue lights and strips. I also like the price of the Dot for adding Alexa to additional rooms. I love that Amazon continues to add more features and apps that work with Alexa. I purchased Dots for my sons for Christmas too.

The Echo Dot was very easy to set up and start using. It is actually set up in our family room but I use it from the kitchen to set timers and have it adds groceries to my shopping list. My only complaint is that the Alexa app is a bit slow to load when I'm At the store and look to see what's on my list, but otherwise it's been a lot of fun using her to check the weather, add grocery items, set timers and hear the news

I got this for the white elephant gift, everyone wanted it. It's perfect size and easy to use.

The echo dot is very small and integrates well wherever you put it. I was surprised to find out that it also plays music, as someone told me that wasn't the case. The speaker is loud and the microphone picks up voice commands well. I use alexa for my smart lightbulbs and music. This is great if you want to add extra units throughout your house or if you just don't want to commit to the price of a full version.
