The echo dot has been a very fun toy for my kids. I enable different games that they can play and it’s a great way to get a few hours to yourself throughout the day.

What can I say - I've bought probably 6 of these so far and they are great if you get them on sale. Ive bought them for my home and for gifts. My Echo controls my lights and my tv and is always handy for a timer and any information you ask her. My only down side is she tends to answer the tv if something is said that is similar to "echo" - like "go" or "no" - shes very sensitive.

This is my 3rd Alexa device. I have a Tap, Echo and now the Dot. I use in my office for quick info and to play jeopardy. Very good for info gathering. Music quality is not up to the larger Alexa devices. Got on sale for $30 so very happy with value.

I use the old school echo dot as a makeshift radio for my local news and playing the music. The setup is a bit tricky but it walks you through it relatively easily. The audio levels are a little low on this model compared to new gen models, but it's really easy to connect it compared to the newer models is the pro behind this one. Very handy!

Love it, happy with the purchase. The app doesn't work for the initial Dot set-up. DON'T try to use the app to set up your Dot as the instructions will say, it would not link up (tried a dozen times, several different ways), had to set up my Dot with my computer and then the app worked fine. "Alexa what's the weather today", "Alexa, what's the top news today" etc. Also Pandora/AmazonMusic all the time. Super easy.

purchased two of these during holiday sale. I have one at home hooked into my sonos to have great sound coupled with amazon's music library. The second one is on my desk at work. It's really nice there to ask it weather, simple math, small questions, timers, etc Primary use is it ready my audible books. For the price it's a lot of fun. Sound isnt as good as a full echo let alone a play 1 (but it's a whole lot cheaper)

You can just keep it simple and ask questions like temperature outside or how old is... Or can integrate into smart switch or outlet to turn on your Christmas tree.

I have 2 Dots. On is in the kitchen and is used for music and kitchen tasks like shopping lists, weather, units conversions, timers, etc. The other one is in the bedroom and used for music, weather, alarm clock, etc. I also have a Honeywell wifi thermostat controlled by Alexa so it can be adjusted by either Dot. It is great when you are in bed and would like to adjust the temperature. Definitely recommend this device.

Excellent price- very entertaining-Echo Dot small but great sound when playing music.

I gave this as a white elephant gift and it was a big hit...every one was after it...I later ask the person who won it how u liked it and he replied with I LOVE IT.

A great way to stream your music right through your home stereo. With a standard 1/8" to RCA "Y" cable, hook the output of the Echo Dot to the input of your stereo.

Easy to set up. Inexpensive and perfect for people to try before buying an echo.

I liked that you could move it around if you wanted to and it connected easily to smart lights and my phone. It's really cool to have to enable your house as "smart".

I think the question I get asked most about the echo dot is what can you use it for at home. I use it in the kitchen as a timers and also connected to a bluetooth speaker to play music. Have multiple echo dots and we also use them as intercoms so we do t have to scream dinner is ready across the house . It also works for voice commands to control our smart light switches . The sound of the echo dot 2 is ok the new dot 3 have way better sound quality and volume. But if you are connecting to a bluetooth speaker it doesnt matter.

I am so amazed at what the Echo Dot and Alexa can do! I find myself asking her random questions all the time. She can be quite funny. Both of my daughters love her.

I love this AI! So much FUN for the entire family. Simplicity is ECHO!! I will be purchasing a number of Echos for various family members...great gift for all ages!
