I haven't really had a chance to fully explore my new dot. I got it on a great sale, so I figured this was a good way to dip into the virtual assistant world. It is a fun little gadget, and has actually answered some of our questions that I almost had to look up, then remembered I had the Echo Dot. She did not disappoint me! I don't know how she has the answers so fast! If you unsure about getting one of the virtual assistants, this is a great place to start and try it out less expensively than buying a regular Echo unit at a much higher price tag.

Love this device. It's very useful in all sorts of ways. one of the best personal devices out there in my opinion. Start the day out with news and weather.

The echo dot is perfect for me, being the lazy person I am. Now I can just tell Alexa to play music through my Bluetooth speakers without lifting a finger!

I bought one last year and it's been working great, so I decided to get another to supplement a room upstairs and get Alexa to "turn off the lights". Nice!

Purchased my echo before Christmas, during our Christmas eve gathering family members were surprised at how much information could be retrieved from echo.

This is my second Echo Dot and is for our second home. I love the music feature as I have it set up with Spotify, Pandora and a Bluetooth speaker. So easy.

I was hesitant at first, despite having Nest and Hue in my home. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the Echo Dot while on sale. I wish I had two more! Alexa easily allows me anywhere in my home to control the lighting, heating/cooling, stream Spotify to itself or any paired bluetooth speakers. I can command to have timer set, hear weather updates, have a song sung. Please come on sale again!

I purchased 3 of these to use as extensions of our hub in the bedrooms. The speaker quality is ok, but I knew from my research that they wouldn't have the same quality as the Echo or Echo Plus. They are perfect for what we use them for.

This is my second purchase after Amazon Echo. It is a must add on to your house if you already have amazon echo and Alexa is getting powerful day by day !

Perfect for our smart home. We have multiple echo dots and added an echo show and echo spot over the holidays. We use them to voice control our arlo cameras, Fire TV stick, lutron switches, sonos speakers, ecobee thermostat, etc. Google has a better search and voice control but we are an Amazon house because Google doesn't have an integration with Sonos, STILL!!

We have three echos and have them placed throughout the house. We use them for radios, music. spelling a word, weather reports, national news and mostly anything else you may want. It does a lot more things but are two many to list here. We think they are outstanding and better than others out there now. Our neighbors has another brand that doesn't match the Echos. She finally got an Echos.

This is our second Dot so clearly we like the product. We use them for everything from listening to music and podcasts to controlling Hue lights and a lot of other features like checking the weather and commutes. The one knock on the product is that you have to be very specific in your wording, sometimes I have to try a command a few ways before Alexa understands what I want. It isn't a problem once I know how to say it but the process can be frustrating the first time. I hear Google Home is a little more intuitive but for the price you can't beat the Dot.

I’m a big Apple consumer all around but after tons of research and testing, I went to alexa over Siri (Apple home kit) to make my full home a smart house.

The level of integration with other products is amazing. With this product I can select what I want to hear and where I want to hear it, all with my voice.

This was my second one. I was going to buy a new alarm clock, but this was a way better option. Just a few things I've used it for. Who does the Cowboys play? Wake me up at 6am. What is 10 to the power of 130? Roll dice. *Turn on den light. *Set living Room temperature at 72' *requires other smart devices to change temperature and lights. Works great with Harmony hubs and smart remotes.
