Bought my daughter the smaller version but it does everything the bigger version does

This dot is everything I was looking for and more. At work I keep my phone in my locker and stream music to my work station all day long. GREAT! I love it

The echo dot is perfect for rooms like your bedroom and office. They complement any Echo that you have in the house. The only downfall to them is the sound quality is not the best but we use our main echo if wanting to listen to music.

I primarily bought this to use with my Amazon Prime Music subscription to connect via bluetooth to my Google Home that I already owned. It works perfectly.

Perfect for our smart home. We have multiple echo dots and added an echo show and echo spot over the holidays. We use them to voice control our arlo cameras, Fire TV stick, lutron switches, sonos speakers, ecobee thermostat, etc. Google has a better search and voice control but we are an Amazon house because Google doesn't have an integration with Sonos, STILL!!

I have an Echo Plus and this Dot. The convenience of playing music across devices and controlling smart devices is awesome. But the fact that the sound quality is awful with the dot list a star for me. I do have it plugged in via aux to my soundbar, but then you can’t hear anything unless the sound bar is in aux. Not convenient for us since the soundbar runs my tv. If you connect it via Bluetooth, you can’t play music across multiple devices through the soundbar. Make the speaker just a hair better and it would get five stars.

We have had a great time with the Echo Dot. I love telling Alexa to play old songs, songs by a specific artist, and asking her questions. Our grandchildren have enjoyed playing with the Echo Dot as well. They ask Alexa to tell them jokes, play songs, answer trivia questions...Our grandchildren that use the Echo Dot range in ages from 3 to 15 years old. She has been a lot of fun so far.

The echo dot is extremely easy to use and my kids love it. It does have some volume issues or a delay in responding when prompted.

i was very unsure about this in the beginning but as i stated before the more i think of things for it the more it is growing on me and its usefull ness.

This is more useful then I thought. I can easily set a timer, ask for a story or joke, or tell it to turn on a radio station or Pandora. Very useful. Prime Membership unlocks other cool features. You can add skills like reading the Bible, giving you flash briefings for tech news and other news from all kinds of sources, and different things like ordering food or different learning apps.

I would say after having both Google and Alexa for a week .. they both are much better than Siri .. even you find Siri every where. Cortana is good too.

I have been very pleased with my Echo dot. It was very easy to set up, has worked without a hitch and the learning curve is very short. I haven't yet set up any smart home accessories but plan to do so in the near future. I haven't come across many commands that aren't understood and it is great for making shopping lists and such. Thinking about adding a couple more units throughout the house.

Has all the great features as its big brother in a small compact size. with a $50 price tag for an Echo device it is a great way to be introduced into the world of Home automation. the only down size is the volume level from this guy. if you want to hear louder sound from it, my best suggestion is to connect with with a bluetooth speaker, or use the 3.5mm audio jack and connect it with a speaker.

Alexa is fun to ask questions to. we are very excited to see what other things we can get into with her as well as trying it with the Phillips Hue lights

We bought these for our girls so they could listen to music in their rooms without having to have their cell phones —works perfectly! Use it all the time.

Great addition to the fire stick Must have for room in your house

I initially bought Alexa for myself to listen to music while I'm doing things around the house. My 4 year old grandson has taken her over! It has become extremely instrumental in helping him with counting and his alphabet and other things. It is so rewarding to sit and watch him interact with it. Purchased for myself but turns out serving a much better purpose!

We put the Echo Dot at the computer station in our kitchen. We use it to fact check, play music, check weather and listen to news. The built in speaker is slightly anemic, but this was expected for $30. We have an audio cable plugging it into our computer speaker system and it puts out clean full quality sound. Over all, we are VERY satisfied and will probably buy a few more.

I've been debating about getting the echo or dot. Decided to get the dot being that it went on sale just I'm time for the holidays, I bought 2 of them!!

Great product, definitely more desirable than the earlier version, however still with room for improvement. Overall can make any user excited for a couple of weeks following which the hype might subside. Pros: Amazing voice recognition. Has line out which is extremely useful. More responsive than prior version. Has Bluetooth speaker support. Cons: As stated above needs more functionality. App can hang and be buggy. Still need to figure out how only one device will respond to questions if placed in adjoining rooms.
