I love the dot & it's so fun & easy to use! We play music with it everyday!

It's amazing how clearly it listens and how it responds. I use Siri and compared to Siri, Alexa's search capabilities are not as well refined. But for $50 it works amazing. Being it spelling words for my kids, doing math problems or looking up on weather and other details. It's integration with smart home devices is handy as well. Need to get a few more of these for every room.

I bought this device for my nephew and he told "this is really wonderful". Though you have to buy an Amazon music membership to get its maximum.

I currently have two echos and they are great. I purchased 2 for friends and I know that they will love it. Music, games and time and weather!

Couldn’t resist at the price. I have the full size Echo, and other than the speakers, it does everything Echo does. I have it in a guest room.

I purchased this for my mother and started to set it up using her own "non-prime" Amazon account. It worked for basic information but was a bit more limited that I wanted it to be for her. So I just added it to my own prime account and now she has access to more features such as Amazon music. She mainly uses it for checking on the weather and playing some old music favorites.

My introduction into the Amazon voice-controlled device world started with the Amazon Echo and resulted in me adding Dots throughout the house. These have become a regular part of our daily routines, from setting alarms, to turning on lights and locking doors. Add a Zigbee hub (can't go wrong with a Smartthings hub), and you can do so much with these devices!

I had a parent suffer a stroke & was terrified about them having to fumble with the lights if they had to get up in the evening. I got them an Echo Dot along with a Wemo outlet. After initially arguing that they wouldn't use it much, the Dot quickly became one of their favorite devices in the home. I've since picked up a few devices for myself & they're great.

Love it! Paired it with my soundbar, sounds great!! And very easy to set up.

Works well, simple to setup and easily paired with my smart devices.

The echo dot is everything to love about the full-size echo for a smart home assistant. The dot is just as attentive with it microphone array and its small size makes it ideal for hiding in small nooks away from sight. If you are starting to consider smart home assistants for your new hue bulbs, nest thermostat, or wemo plugs, Then I highly recommend getting a dot.

Could be louder but overall it's a great little speaker

Picked one up during black Friday event along with a Hue light bulb set and I have to say it is better than expected!!! Controls lights, Nest, Bluetooth speakers and who knows what else. Liked it so much I bought a second one for upstairs! Setup took seconds, easiest set up ever. I think it took longer to unbox it then to get it connected. Totally recommend getting one!

I purchased this as a gift for a family member because I have had a great experience with the 3 Dots and an Echo in my home. I paired this one with a decent Bluetooth speaker and his Fire TV that I had given him at Christmas. Being able to get the news, play music, launch programs on the tv as well as hearing a story all by voice commands made this the perfect gift!

This is a nice entry level product that can be bought to see if having a smart assistant in your home is something you are interested in. It has all the same features as the bigger Echo but at about 1/3 of the price. Do not buy this product if you are looking for great sound from the device itself, this is something that should be connected to a bigger, better sounding speaker via AUX or Bluetooth. If you already have an Echo this is a great device to have in the bedroom to extend your Alexa capabilities.

I love that I never have to walk into or out of a dark room. The music feature is great and having Alexa change my (DISH) channel is cool too!

This device has given my family so many benefits with being our new alarm clock and reminding us when we need to do things. Highly recommend.

I wasn't going to open it until Christmas but I wanted to make sure it was working...and I love it and it's not even for me! It's for my son.

The Echo Dot is a great smaller (and much less expensive) version of the Amazon Echo. While I love the convenience it brings, the audio quality is not so great. The volume is lower than the Echo overall, and the sound quality for playing music could be lots better. You can pair it with other speakers, but that's just one more piece of electronic equipment that you have to have. I think Amazon can do some work toward making the sound quality better. And I feel like I have to yell for the Dot to hear me sometimes, too.
