I didn't know if I would like this product. I wasn't even sure if I would use it much. Now that I have it, however, I am really enjoying it. So far, I only use it for simple things, like checking the time, weather, calendar, etc. It's also great for setting timers really fast and easily. Next I'm going to take a look at getting some light bulbs for it to control. So far, so good, happy customer here.

Great price x functionality.. if you already have good speakers, it’s a nobrainner choice

I have the full size Echo which has much better speakers than the dot. I did pair both my Echo's with my Bose Sound Link speaker. The Dot works great as an alarm clock. I just say "Alexa, set alarm for 5:00am weekdays". I say cancel when I don't want it to go off and in the AM I check weather and traffic to work. If I want to use music I turn on my sound link and play prime music through it. I do love the Echo products. I use them constantly. I also leave messages with friends and family through Alexa. I keep the Dot by my bedside and the full size one in the kitchen

The echo dot works well for basic questions. Depending on what you want to know sometimes you have to ask in certain ways or Alexa says she doesn't understand. You have to enable skills to find certain info instead of just being able to ask Alexa directly. The device itself is great for the price but Alexa as amazon's assistant needs development and refinement for a year, but it should get better.

We have Alexa Echo in our kitchen. I use it when cooking. Alexa set timer 5 minutes. I can set multiple timers and ask how much time is left on timers. No running back and forth to use the timer on the oven. As well, I have music playing. We are Amazon prime members so we are able take advantage of Amazon's Audio Service for free. I set up IHeart Radio Service too. Pandora is also available. BTW, Amazon audio has radio stations just like Pandora and you can also ask Alexa to play a song you are in the mood to hear. Alexa is like a modern day Jukebox. We love it. Alexa is very handy. Alexa turn up or down music, Alexa what is the temperature, Alexa what is weather for today, Alexa set Alarm, Alexa what time is it, ... Kids use Alexa for homework and checking their homework. We purchased a second echo and use it as a reward for the kids. Whoever was the best behaved, gets to have Alexa in their room to listen to music and have an alarm in the am.

We liked our first Echo Dot so much, we bought another. The kids use it sometimes to help with their homework, it plays music, and can help with recipes.

Kids love it. Very easy to use and can tell you just about everything. Sounds good too!

Family loves it! The sounds quality is not as good as the Echo but it is decent. Otherwise, it does everything the echo can do. The price is great too.

Alexa has become our family’s best friend. The device is simple to use and with the seven built in microphones you can talk like a normal human being. instead of yelling hey Siri several times, you speak in a normal voice “Alexa”. Even from across the room she understands you. She understands commands from my three year old who finds the device so useful she tells Alexa she loves her and gets the response “that’s so nice of you to say” and then she tells her good night. The kids use to want me to turn the tv on at bed time, but now they will either have the Echo Dot read a bedtime story or listen to light jazz and they are out in no time flat. With the tv, it took them forever to fall asleep. They make a handy intercom system and if you misplace your phone, just ask Alexa to call it and listen for the ring. We have purchased two units and my goal is to get three more for the other bedrooms.

Well Santa was looking for gifts to give and one of our recipients needed an Echo Dot. These items are fairly easy to setup and are a wonderful little gadget that have sitting on your desk ask for some basic information or even to control WIMO controlled devices. I love how i can set alarms and get the weather without having to type it on my phone.

I bought one of these last year for my husband and liked it so much this one is for me. I like the fact I can ask it the temperature out before I leave the house and don’t have to look it up on my phone. It pays Music as well and the sound quality is pretty good. When you stream your music you can tell it to stop, turn up or down the volume or play particular artist. It is a nice device for the money.

This is my 3rd Echo Dot and I think I'll add more. This is a very clever little device and is great to have in bathrooms, wash rooms, bedrooms etc.. I also have integrated one with my Harmony Hub to automate controlling my home entertainment system. I've added small wireless battery chargers to several as it eliminates having to have them plugged into an outlet. It's the future, get on board!

I feel that I have barely even scratched the surface with regard to the Dot's capabilities but I am already more than satisfied. Coupled with an Amazon Prime account, it is the perfect music player. I also have it connected with various smart light bulbs throughout the house and can power them on and off or even change the color with a simple command. I look forward to exploring what it has to offer.

Simple set up, nice speaker, very sensitive microphone. Works as advertised, great for music, links well with other devices already on line in my home

I previously used Dot as an alarm clock in my bedroom. We recently purchased the Show so I moved Dot to the hallway. My daughter has a hard time reaching one of her lights so I added a Hue bulb in her room and we can turn her light on/off with Dot. I also play music on Dot at night for the kiddos throughout the night. I purchased a few of these as gifts for Christmas and I’m excited to pass them out.

I bought Echo dot with not much expectation but to my surprise, as soon as I started adding skills and other Alexa - compatible devices, Alexa just turns to be the new darling in the family. This device just turns our world upside down, making the daily routines of turning on/off the lights at home a breeze. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to make their home smart. Alexa will not disappoint.

The Echo Dot is a wonderful addition to my home! I immediately can know the weather, play music, find out sports scores, get news updates and soooooooo much more! It takes less than five minutes to set up and has been incredible! I have purchased five and will be buying more!
