Great started for an introduction to home Assistant and automation. This is just like the echo without the big speaker for music. Still has a small speaker for it to respond to queries, and can be plugged into a bigger speaker or home theater for big voice command music. Can be great as a satellite unit if you already have the echo in rooms controlling lights and things.

Plays music, turns the TV on and off, gives me the weather everyday and is just helpful no matter what I ask her

This little dot is pretty awesome. We already had an Echo in the kitchen, which we love, but figured it was time to expand and get a dot for the bedroom. The speaker is definitely nothing like the Echo, but it was surprisingly better than expected. I like to use the dot for my flash briefing in the morning as well as listening to some prime music as I get dressed.

I was very surprised how accurate this box was. It recalls things like musical songs ,singers,bands,and at all levels. It answers local questions about time,weather and store locations. It will remind you of things to do or give you a wake up call when requested.It is limited only by your own ability to control its own features. I bought another one for my wife .

I bought this for my 9 year old great-nephew and he was so happy and excited that he couldn't wait to hook it up! I became the cool aunt!!

I received my echo as a Christmas gift and im really impressed. There are a lot of different skills to enable to you can play games, work out, and many more. I like that I was able to hook up my Pandora account and listen to it on my echo. You can skip songs and Alexa will even tell you who sings the song if you ask. I cant wait until I get more things to hook up to it!

The Echo Dot keeps getting better and better. And now at $29, it is a fantastic value. How much do we like it? We've got five in our home!

nothing’s beats the echo especially at it affordable price. I have one now in every room connected to one network that allows me to stream music in every room and make announcements to the family no matter what room they are in. Voice recognition is amazing and is very dependable. I also love being able pair to Bluetooth device as well

Bought this device primarily as an interface to connect to my smart home devices. It does a really good job connecting to Philip's hue emulated devices, something the Google home cannot. I use it everyday to. Control smart switches and plugs either via individual triggers or via the routines feature provided via the Alexa app.

I got this Echo Dot as a Chirstmas gift and I am OBSESSED. I love how small and compact it is as I dont have much table top space to begin with. Alexa is so smart and always learning new things. I love all the added features you can do with her such as asking her to turn off the lights. I'm making all my friends get one and for the price, who wouldn't?!

Bought this for my 80 year old parents. Asked my brother-in-law to help them set it up (out of state). Didn't need to. My dad figured it out on his own. They LOVE it! Set up their favorite Pandora music to play through it, ask it questions all the time. They said it's like having a pet that keeps you company that you don't have to walk or feed, lol! Highly recommend.

Works as described. Fairly easy to set-up. Meshes well with my Philips Hue smart light bulb setup. Handles simple tasks well.

I purchased an Echo Dot for myself in May. I love it. My grand daughter loves using it. This makes the perfect gift for her for Christmas.
