We purchased the dot to have in our bedroom to complement the echo in the living room. It has all the features of the echo except the sound quality is much poorer , that is the only difference . However, the Dot is able to Bluetooth to a speaker so you can still get amazing sound quality on your Bluetooth enabled device , for a fraction of the cost of the echo .

The color is unique as most other dots are black. I wanted to remain within budget for a holiday gift grab bag at work and this was the perfect gift. Interestingly 2 other people bought Dots as grab bag gifts and I ended up with not the Dot I bought but another. Glad to have broke even in my expense. I have an Echo and now with a Dot I can give more commands from a few rooms. The sound quality of the Dot is good but definitely not matched to that of the Echo. The Dot works as advertised.

We have had the echo dot for a few months now and my 10 year old daughter loves it. She uses it for basic things like playing music and as an alarm clock. We will be purchasing additional units to communicate throughout the house. My daughter also uses it to control lights in her room. So far it has been very helpful and is very easy to set up and use.

This does everything the other Echo devices can do, and sometimes more. Sure, the speaker is small. Not impressive but more than adequate. But it has both AUX out and Bluetooth to hook to better speakers (or even a full stereo system). I feared I might get bored with it, but I use it all the time. Music, news, alarms, lists, calculations and much more.

This is my 2nd Echo Dot. First one was a gift. Now I have one for each floor of the house. This is so easy to use and set-up was a breeze. I can't keep my grandkids away from them every time they come and visit us. It is so useful when doing some house chores including keeping tab on my cooking. Very satisfied with its performance and functions.

Echo Dot is very versatile and easy to setup. It can be connected via Bluetooth and allows you to expand the sound however "big" you want it. I have an Echo in the bedroom and already owned a Flip so a Dot was right for me. I use my Dot with the JBL Flip in the bathroom where space is limited to get great sound for music, flash briefing, etc. I love it.

Pretty smart and useful. Google home is smarter with questions but depends which ecosystem you are most invested in on which to choose

Having Alexa around is such a convenience! Get one and discover all its cool features. I have mine connected to the Hue lights, which is a plus. She's a great assistant, especially after you've gone to bed and remember something important but don't want to get up and write it down, you can just ask her to add stuff to your to-do list. That's just one tiny example.

I bought the product after i saw it online. My curious so i purchased on and oh boy i was not disappointed with my decision to buy it.

Great price for dot. Works great. Decent speaker alexa is fun.

I have personally purchased 4 of these and 3 full-size Echoes. They work great and will help you stay on track with your busy life. I also recommend them as helpful gifts for any elderly family members as they can help them remember to take medicine or keep appointments. I highly recommend them to anyone of any age.

Always ready when you need it. I did have it think the TV show I was watching told it to call someone at 2am. Funny. But great product.

I purchase two of the Amazon Echo Dot. One for my husband and one for my son and I for Christmas. We are amazing how much you can do with the. From getting weather at our current location to play my favorite songs, asking football game scores etcetera. We highly recommend the Amazon Echo Dot for those who like to stay in touch with what's going on in the world.

My grandson loves music etc. for a 16 year old so I got this for a Christmas gift and can’t wait to see his reaction when he opens it.

Love the small size and all the interactive ways this can be used.

Really Simple to setup, many great uses including weather conditions, sports scores, silly questions and triggering a Home automation such as lights, control garage doors and integrating with other 3rd party devices. Many of the Alexa skills work with IFTTT to create simple home automation recipes. New skills are added all the time, great devcide for the price.

This was a great price and a good way to start using wireless for music. I also started using it to control children's bedroom lights.
