Love it....easy to use and set up..great for alarms and music

Amazon echo and the dot are awesome products. I have this setup in my house to control my Tv and all my WEMO light switches. Love it!

We don't have a fully automated home so we just use this for simple requests. seems to work just fine. was cheap enough

I picked up one of these guys up. I also have a Samsung SmartThings Hub controlling several light switches. It's working pretty good. If the TV is up a little too loud sometimes it doesn't understand you. I've had a couple of random events with Alexa just saying something. You're not listening for it so you miss it for the most part. Plan to add several more.

Keep it on my nightstand. Great for an alarm, music, weather, etc.

I like the 2nd generation Echo Dot better than the 3rd generation only because there is a wall mount that can be purchased online that neatly holds the device next to a wall outlet. It keeps it from having to take up tabletop surface area. The 3rd generation Echo Dot has only a slightly better functionality, but the 2nd generation has all the features that you would need. Alexa is great at answering questions and integrating your Amazon account.

Great product, fun to ask questions easy to use and good sound.

I purchased this as a gift for my sister. She is quite forgetful. Well my niece (almost 4), nephew (1.5 years old), brother-in-law, and sister LOVE this thing! The kids come home and immediately start playing games with Alexa and dancing to music. I'd happily purchase more for them. I received one as a gift and love it too.

While still a bit of a novelty, the echo proves itself to be quite handy, especially when cooking. Setting timers and performing unit conversions while stirring a hot pot is extremely useful. Voice control of lights is also great, if you have any home automation gear. Hotword recognition is remarkably effective - if I talk loudly I can trigger it from almost anywhere in a 950 sq ft apartment, even in a different room. The built-in speaker is not stellar, but sounds surprisingly good for the cost and size.

Convenient and attentive. Easy to set up. Alexa understands me most of the time. Speaker quality not the best.

Got the regular echo and and an echo dot already but needed another in the basement with the new intercom app comes in really handy.

I am using them Echo dot to integrate several smart devices throughout my home with several different brands and it works perfectly.

The Echo Dot seems to work correctly and easily on its own. However, it was purchased as a package with the Harmony remote as a system. Somewhat complicated to set up since you are dealing with both Amazon and Logitech, Basic on/off functions of 3-piece entertainment system work fine but more detailed functions are a challenge.Still using original remote(s) for many functions. We had hoped that Alexa could be set up to perform most or all functions of the TV, DVR and audio system.

I just turned on the calling between all three. Works great. I especially like the home automation functions. Works great with WEMO.

The echo dot is great for a small bedroom or personal room. You can also manage all your smart devices and lights from the echo dot.

I’ve owned my Amazon Echo Dot for a year & it has only gotten more fun! It’s simple to set up & connect to WiFi. It continuously ‘learns’ your likes & personality. Great household addition for both young and old to enjoy listening to music, stories, asking random questions, playing games, just about anything! Affordable fun!

We have seen the commercials on how the Echo and the Dot work with each other and thought it would be a cool thing to do. We haven’t actually opened the box yet, but I am looking forward to the possibilities.
