It's so easy to use!! You have a personal electronic assistance that when asked the weather, jokes, games, played continually and even list groceries item that you can assess! This is so convenient!

Great for checking spelling, definitions of words and general questions! Safety increased in the home with voice activated hue light bulbs! Possibilities appear endless!

It’s my first experience with Alexa and I am very exited using it. I have been able to control my lights and other appliances. Really very pleased with Echo Dot.

Love my echo dot but the reason for the 3 stars is because I use to have it hooked into my Sonos but something happen to where it is no longer speaking through the Sonos play 5 Speaker they say it’s called scrubbing and I don’t like it because without the sound from the Sonos the dot is just mediocre

I bough this item cause the price was right and I was concern with the hipe and for my surprise Alexa can do all it was expected plus much more

When I say "good morning", it tells me what is special about the day. It tells me jokes. And it is a dictionary. Price is right and so is size. Perfect!

We have one in every room of our house. It does everything fro settine a timer, an alarm, plays music and turns the light on and off.

Speaker is not bad kitchen, Alexa will really hear you across the room. I wish Harmony remote has more command compatible with Alexa especially TV volume control. Small enough to stay in the corner on the counter....

It's great you can talk to it ask it to play music ask today's weather for any state in country wonderful can read books

I’m not sure what all the fuss is over Echo Dot. Aside from answering questions (ex. Current temp, time), Alexa seems unable to access or control my Next Thermostat, Ring Video Doorbell or iSmartAlarm. I added each skill in the Alexa app, but nothing works. Shocker. I’ll keep it, but Echo Dot is about as exciting as a paperweight. This morning I asked Alexa the hours for a local aquarium. Alexa claimed not to have access to business hours. I asked phrased the question differently and was given the hours for today. I asked about Saturday hours, and Alexa once again claimed no access to business hours. Yeah... save your money.

Having a fondness for gadgets I bought the echo dot mostly to check out this new technology. I am pleasantly surprised! Alexa understands most commands and responds more or less accurately. Skills like wemo (power adapter to turn appliances or lights on and off) or getting the news are useful and fun. Alexa's singing is a riot - I love it! The jokes she tells are cute, the information e.g. definitions are usually accurate. Unfortunately the signal drops at least once a day and a lot of features are only available to amazon prime and audible members with an expensive membership fee.

The product is good but some of the responses have to be improved by Amazon which I am sure will be done with the later versions.

Being part of ecosystem -- Amazon's Ecosystem provides easy additions / expansions to home network / automation ( this being any forth Dot ). Once in the Amazon ecosystem, setup is efficient and very little effort. I was pleasantly surprised by the very little time involved to get up and running. More time was spent on where to put the Amazon Dot.

Easy to install. Works well. I like it. I would highly recommend it.

The amazon echo dot is very convenient for many purposes such listening music, knowing weather conditions, traffic conditions, ordering items online, increasing your knowledge etc. I liked the item very much and recommend it for other shoppers.
