I have this on my night stand It isn't loud but it's fine to hear morning news and weather I also use it at night for sleep sounds to help me sleep.

Wife got one of these for the house and we really didn't know if we would use it but I found I use it all the time. Want to know the Temp, ask Alexa. It faster than logging into your phone and starting an App. It seems like I'm always learning something new to do with the Dot. Bottom line is we like it so much, and we had so many people ask us about it, we're giving everyone a Dot for Christmas.

This is a great and fun little device. The speaker is very loud and clear for it's size. Echo dot understands questions very well and responds most of the time with an appropriate response. It really is most useful if you have a prime membership other wise it is very limited in what it can do. I would definitely recommend this to someone that has a prim membership or anyone that likes new gadgets.

We have an Amazon Echo in our living room, which we use for so many things... playing music, getting weather forecasts and sports scores, and learning the meaning of words, to name just a few. I purchased a second one for our bedroom. In addition to using it for the things i mentioned above, we use our Dot as an alarm clock. It's very inexpensive, and it does everything our full-size Echo does.

I bought this as a gift for myself. :) I love Alexa. I use it as an alarm weather checker music player etc. I hooked my dot up via Bluetooth to my jbl flip 2 and what a huge difference in sound quality ! Very happy with my dot and would like a 2nd one for kitchen area.

I picked up an Echo Dot a few months ago and just grabbed a couple more. These things are fantastic! Alexa has an ever growing library of skills she can use, but my favorite is simple home automation skills, setting timers and checking the weather. It's super easy to ask her what the weather is going to be on your way out the door in the morning. The only downside is the speaker. The Dot is great if you plan to use it for voice or basic skills, but if you plan to use it to play music I recommend you get an Echo or add some speakers to the dot.

I bought the echo dot for my husband and I then loved it so much I got one for our parents for Christmas. We all have a great time learning new things and figuring out what Alexa can do. I use her to control my lights and other items throughout my house. We’ve had a couple commands missed because of words not clearly spoken but other than that she works great & is there when you need her!

The dot is awesome! I have it in my kitchen and it doesn't take up any space. I can add items to my shopping list as I discover I need them and they appear on my phone. When I go to the store, everything is there - no more forgetting my list! Yay! And when I am baking, I can ask Alexa to play music without having to stop what I am doing to access a device. This definitely works for me! :)

I have both the full sized Echo and this Echo Dot. They do exactly what is advertised, from giving you info, to playing music or if you just wanna have a conversation with it. However, the dot is not as loud (obviously) as the full sized Echo. But for the price, who can complain? It does everything else. I wound up giving the dot away as a gift, but most likely, I'll get one for myself.

Honestly, the echo dot has been my favorite Amazon device so far. It is designed well and is fantastic for voice control. It is also very easy to setup and is easily compatible with other devices. I've used it the most with my Bluetooth speaker and enjoy it everyday.

We bought this for a relative as a Christmas gift, and early signs are positive!
