A friend had one of these and I found it interesting and after reading reviews thought I'd give it a try. Still haven't used it to it's full capacity I'm sure but will continue to find more things it can do to help or entertain me. I really love the ability to set multiple alarms for different things I am doing or to remind me of something I need to do.

Convenient and attentive. Easy to set up. Alexa understands me most of the time. Speaker quality not the best.

I purchased this as a gift for my sister. She is quite forgetful. Well my niece (almost 4), nephew (1.5 years old), brother-in-law, and sister LOVE this thing! The kids come home and immediately start playing games with Alexa and dancing to music. I'd happily purchase more for them. I received one as a gift and love it too.

I love my full Echo but have a need for one in my kitchen yet didn't want to buy another big one. The Dot fits the bill exactly and gives me the ability to hear music rather than the incessant "news" my husband listens to in the adjoining family room. It's small size is a big plus as it takes so little space on the counter. Alexa is my new best friend!

A fun product that gives joy. Easy to use and very spacious.

I like the 2nd generation Echo Dot better than the 3rd generation only because there is a wall mount that can be purchased online that neatly holds the device next to a wall outlet. It keeps it from having to take up tabletop surface area. The 3rd generation Echo Dot has only a slightly better functionality, but the 2nd generation has all the features that you would need. Alexa is great at answering questions and integrating your Amazon account.

I gave this as a gift to husband for Christmas - he loves it! We enjoy using the Amazon Prime functions, including streaming music.

So far so good, I am enjoying having multiple dots around the house.. good investment if you have the Alexa ecosystem in your home.

A perfect compliment to the Sonos Play 5. You can use the line out on the Echo Dot to plug straight in to the Play 5 to get amazing sound out of the Echo / Amazon. The original Echo sounds great but integrating it into the Sonos system takes it to a completely different level. And when full Sonos integrationis added later this year it will be even better.

The Echo dot is an amazing product. It packs tons of smarts into a tiny device. The sound is fine for a small area on its own or it can be easily plugged into a larger stereo. It can control a ton of smart home devices by voice and Amazon is always updating and releasing new features to make it more fun and useful. Great product!!

I now have an echo or Alexa I every bedroom and my kitchen. It is so handy to listen to my favorite music or set timers and alarms.

This is my 3rd Dot that I've bought. It is essentially an Echo without the stereo quality speakers. With mini-speakers the Dot has good sound at half the price. I have them placed in different locations in my home. They are great for voice-activated music, news, weather, and traffic. I ask it questions but I haven't bought anything with it.

This is a great smart assistant for the money. Does a really good job of recognizing voice commands and controlling my smart lights and other connected home devices. The only issue that I can complain about is that Amazon could do a better job of having multiple Echoes work together like the Google Homes do, and have the nearest one that hears you respond to the wake word instead of having to have to set different wake words for Dots that are within earshot of each other.

I’ve owned my Amazon Echo Dot for a year & it has only gotten more fun! It’s simple to set up & connect to WiFi. It continuously ‘learns’ your likes & personality. Great household addition for both young and old to enjoy listening to music, stories, asking random questions, playing games, just about anything! Affordable fun!

It was all I excepted. The speakers aren't the best, but I knew that before purchasing the echo spot. The only other issue would be Alexa not understanding what I'm asking. Great product all together though.
