Decided to try a new smart device and I am enjoying this to play music in my bedroom. The wake up is great for an alarm clock too.

The Echo dot is a great thing to purchase if you want a good quality speaker. The Dot allows you to play your music from Amazon or any music streaming service on the Alexa platform. Alexa herself is entertaining and allows you to "train" her through the Alexa app. If you are debating on getting this product DO NOT hesitate. DO IT now, you WON'T regret it.

First time user of the Echo Dot and was able to setup fairly easily. Also able to add skills so now I have a "smart" home. Great!!

The second get Echo dot is a great device. It is even better now that it sells for $19.99! I use them everywhere to control home automation. Make sure you have good wifi coverage before you deploy them too far from your router. Don't expect to enjoy music on this device (tiny speakers) unless you use an external speaker.

Purchase that for my wife. She is playing with that all day along. She asked for that long time ago and finally she get her toys.

One of the neat features we like is being able to play and radio stations via Alexa and then connecting our Bose Bt speaker to it

We now have 4 and they work great. They control lights and music.

Bought it for my niece because she is obsessed with ai. She loves it. It's educational and fun for her. It didn't break the bank.

Echo is great listen to music get weather etc it's compact

I bought me and everyone on my list one of these when they went on sale. They’re easy to get started out of the box, and connect to ur amazon prime acct. just don’t say Alexa out loud unless you need to activate the device. We’re paranoid she’s always listening!

Not a whole lot going on but works great for someone looking to listen to some tunes, hear the weather report , need an easy alarm and wants to set reminders.

I bought this for my daughter & she absolutely loves this! She says it's amazing & she loves playing with the different features!

I have been invested in the Echo ecosystem for awhile now. I picked this up to add functionality to my kitchen. A perfect kitchen companion, the smart home, timer, and measurement converting features are killer apps. That and the hands free music playing (mine is connected to an inexpensive bluetooth speaker) a well worth the price of admission.

I have Google Home and Alexa. With the Echo, you have to download skills for it to respond accurately, otherwise it doesn’t do much. You also have to remember what to say to access the skills, which requires having the app open. This sort of defeats the purpose because if you’re on your phone, you can usually do what you’re asking Alexa. Once you remember the skill access it does work well and it has a good speaker for its size. She has come on 3 times without prompting.

I placed Echo Dots in various rooms in the house for better communication to Alexa. It sure did improve Alexa's response.response

I own the echo show, the spot and a few of these for different rooms. I use these the most. At the end of the day, Alexa is a voice assistant. And the echo dot 2nd gen has 8 microphones. That means it is very good at picking up your voice commands. I would day that picks up my voice better than the echo spot or show.
