Has a small speaker that is good enough to give me the information about amazon products delivered or on the way daily. The daily summary is great. Directions to work and weather forecast is great too. Being able to answer and make phone calls through it is also a great feature. Great price, so far lasting almost 2 years

Kids love this. Great for playing music, setting alarms, and answering random questions.

For a small device the sound is great. Easy to use.

We love the amazon alexa and with dots in each room. We even got one for each couple in our family since we love them so much.

We have three of these now, two at home and one for our place up north. We use it to control lights and switches, play games, play music, read books and so forth. If there is any issue, it is that there will hopefully be more skills that are useful. Right now, a lot of the skills are variations of programs that just provide trivia and quotations.

This is our 7th Alexa. Decided we wanted one in each room. They work great and so love the intercom capability. That has come in so handy. We also have the Tap, and this little guy works just as well.

This is my second Dot. My first in in my office and mostly just plays music from Pandora to my stereo. This Dot is in the family room and also connects to a music system, but we are experimenting with other uses beyond just a simple voice controlled timer/music interface. It takes a bit of effort to figure out how to integrate the Dot with other devices in the house, but there is potential. So far, it's worth the $50 to play with a new toy that might prove more useful....

Great gift idea for your average tech lover or even someone who is into home automation. I use two of these in my house to control various lights with my Wink Hub, play Pandora and to get my weather/news updates everyday. My 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew loved asking Alexa questions about animals and songs as well during the holidays.

Very easy to install. Integrated with Harmony hub and SmartThings hub, to control many devices by voice: TV, cable, stereo, A/C thermostat, lights, etc. My wife loves being able to tell Alexa to add things to her shopping list, which she can then pull up on her phone while in the store. Plan to purchase more Echo Dot's for other parts of the house.

Cheaper than the original edition and handles the same commands

Love Alexa. I enjoy my interactions with Echo Dot. I get jokes and crazy facts every morning. I also get information about what happened on each day in my good morning well wishes. Just fun. Alexa is now my alarm, listen to my audio books, and am now meditating regularly with one of the meditation skills. Something of interest for every one.

Bought this on Black Friday. What a deal and works awesome. Very nice to have some automation in my house. Great tech device.

Great product. You can sync most of your WiFi products. Love how technology is making you lazy. These are great for bedrooms.

I have the Echo and the Echo plus..love the products and use them daily. We have smart bulbs and plugs connected to the Echo.

This is my fourth Echo Dot. No need to waste your time with the regular Echo, the dot does everything else, just not as loud.

The 2nd generation echo dot provides a very useful smart speaker for both home use and small business use, that can operate standalone or paired with external speaker via Bluetooth. The standard USB charging port is a nice feature, allowing it to be powered by most phone chargers.

Just love it! I have it connected to my WeMo products, Nest Products and now my Logitec Harmony one ultimate remote. Awesome!

I already had a Google home and decided to put one of these up as well. The speaker volume and presence certainly isn't as nice as the Google, enough that I took it out of my bathroom as I couldn't hear the radio on it while in the shower, but it's perfect next to my bed or anywhere else you need something inconspicuous and functional.
