Purchased this for my husband for Christmas. We've had an Amazon echo for several years, this was a great way to expand to other rooms, inexpensively. Music quality isn't as good as the echo, but we don't use the dot for that purpose anyway. We use it to control our lights in the other room or for general information questions.

The price was so good on this on Black Friday just couldn't pass it up! Actually gave several of these as gifts...can't go wrong with that! I have a 2nd gen Dot and received a voice message from another Echo Dot...had no idea you could do that so needless to say I'm happy I choose the Dot as a gift for others!

The Jetsons are finally here. This device is great and entertaining. It has the capability to help a range of folks from the young adulting millennials to precocious 8yos to the greatest generation, you get the idea. Sound quality is excellent. Smart (wink) purchase!

The Dot has all the function of the Echo but not the high range speaker. I bought an Echo first and put it in my living room where I usually sit when listening to music. I liked it so much a bought the Dot for my bedroom where I have a blue tooth speaker and did not need another Echo. The Dot easily connects to the blue tooth speaker. I love waking up and getting news and weather and all I have to do is ask. I also want to say that the Dot's speaker is also quite good on its own.

It was time to upgrade to a smart home and this was a key part. No issues so far. Just needed a dot without a fancy speaker.

kids and I enjoy checking weather, quick music to listen to and now Alexa is connected to Dish network, learning how to request certain things is the biggest trick and enabling functions on the app.

My mom loves it too. After receiving the triple cooker my mom loved it so much I gave it to her for Christmas she’s so happy

The voice activations makes it easy to play musics, Check on the weather forcast Or the current time or today’s news summary

I like my echo dot its small and convenient. Its easy to use.

Purchased for my 80+ year old mom. She loves it! She signed up for Amazon Music so she could hear any song she wanted. Setup is easy, if your wifi likes it. Main wifi did, the booster didn't. Once we got it set up properly, it worked flawlessly. I plan on getting several for family members at Christmas, what a perfect gift!

So far so good! This was a gift that my stepdad hinted that he wanted and since my moms b'day was coming up and his had passed already, I decided to make it a combo gift for the house. They both love it. My step dad spends time trying to trick it and see if it will provide correct answers! : ) Alexa is the champ so far! LOL

Decent speaker. Good for the price. Alexa is nice for certain times. Still getting used to using her.

Unit is small but sound is good. Easy to use to get weather or any other information that you may want to know.

My wife gave me an Amazon Echo for Christmas. After having the echo in our living room for about a week I decided to buy 3 Dots for our bedrooms. This works perfectly for me because I have a 3 year old and can tell Alexa to play certain music in her room, control the cable box, and turn the light on or off, without getting up.

Already have Alexa's at home. Reccomend Alexa's to anyone. Very useful home device.
