You must have it attached to a set of speakers if your goal is to listen to music. Otherwise the sound quality is lacking.

I have two of the echo products, one of the echo 2nd generation and then I got the echo dot for my bedroom. Love being able to add things to my shopping list from anywhere in the house. Thinking about getting another one for the kitchen. I tie them together so that i can listen to music throughout the house.

We’ve really become accustomed to having Alexa help us run our smart home. Alexa do this and that...and she never says no!

This is a great all around product, especially for the price. Very intuitive and fits easily in any area of the house.

Paired the Echo Dot with my Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home remote and works very well once we learned the proper commands. Family is having fun with it too. Just gotta be careful when someone on TV mentions making a purchase using their Dot, as it hears Alexa and responds to what's heard from the TV. Almost bought a Lamborghini by mistake!

The Dot has been a great purchase thus far. Excellent connectivity (never had an issue with connection to router), great voice recognition, and a skill bank that is growing daily. While smartphone assistants can do much the same as the Dot and other Echo products, not having to hassle with finding and navigating the phone is a real luxury.

This is the mini me of Alexa ,It does itself proud but of course the sound is minimal.I have it connected to I-Home speaker and that combo is awesome.

Absolutely love the echo dot. Purchased white and what a beautiful color. Alexa can do so much and this is a great price.

Amazon echo dot is a decent product that provides commands for basic use, however the volume is not very loud and there’s not much Alexa can do for you

Alexa works great on this echo dot it has good sound quality, but I wish the volume would go a little higher.

I was on the fence about “Alexa” at first, but I have thoroughly enjoyed having her around! I work from home so it’s nice to be able to turn music on and off from the opposite side of the house without having to fiddle with a remote or heaven forbid I get up and walk to the device ;-). I have already bought 3 more as gifts!

My Amazon echo helps to keep me organized. From a shopping list to my schedule it links everything to my iPhone! Love!!!!

You know all those apps that let you control your WiFi thermostat, lighting and other things... Well I just ask Alexa to turn down the lights (Lutron Caseta) or set the downstairs temp to 68 (Honeywell Touch WiFi). It's a game changer and replaces the need to interact with devices for simple things....no doubt a glimpse of the near future.

Compact but not lacking the full features of Alexa. Connects to my Firestick, speakers, thermostat and lights! Awesome!!!!

Got an Echo Dot for Christmas, along with the regular Echo! Love the Dot just as much as the larger version. For me, the speakers on the Dot are just fine!! Plenty loud enough to hear in a regular size room. Don't know all the features yet, but the songs, shopping list and to do lists are great!! Lots more to learn, but highly recommend!!

I have multiple Echo dots throughout my home; I use them to control my smart devices, check the weather, set alarms, etc.

I love alexa because no matter how far I am she can listen when I ask for something is great that this have 7 microphones
