I received one for a gift and absolutely love it! Head over heals over Siri for sure!! I got this one for a gift!!

Really all you do is talk to the device, if you ask the question correctly the Echo Dot will answer. You have to learn how to ask question, but after that the sky is the limit. whats the weather, what was the cubs score yesterday, how is traffic, how many oz in a cup. whats playing at the theater. Everyone should have one.

Still need to figure out how to turn on/off more items but it’s hooked up with living room lights and works great.

Wow! Talk about a fun gift item! I picked up three of these for my parents to have all through the house and they love them! The Echo Dot responds so well to all voice types that you almost feel she is real. The only drawback is that you can't play music through all the dots at the same time with the same song. Still love her!

I got this as a free add-on to a purchase. I’ve had it for about 3 months and it’s been great. The only times I use it is to yell “Alexa, play children’s Pandora” or I have her call my cellphone as I lose it all the time. It’s great and have had no problems it. Ask it for a joke and have s laugh!

So I bought the previous generation dot, and it is a good product. I wish it had a battery so I could take it from room to room but it doesnt. Sound quality is ok, not great, so you'll want to connect a speaker. I listen to news and music with it primarily, because Alexa just cant answer a lot of questions, like, "what typhoons are in the Pacific right now?". Overall, I like it, and I hope she gets smarter!

Having my own, I purchased the additional Echo Dots as gift. Mine has worked great and they make for a great gift.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. I have one that I use very often so I know that my friend will love it also.

I have an older Echo and I love it. I am giving the dot to my niece for Christmas. I'm sure she will love it also.

Easy to setup and use. Voice recognition is spot on.

Amazon should have done little bit more with the sound. I have a Logitech computer speakers for less than $10 and connected and the sound is amazing. If anyone is looking for a good stereo sound output get one and connect it. It has an option to connect and you will find a difference. From iPhone you can play the songs after pairing and enjoy. Amazon should come up with multi-room player option to beat the other competitive products. Overall good.

The Echo Dot is great to have in the house. It's very handy to have nearby when you need a question answered. We have it in the kitchen but Alexa can hear us easily from the next room. Some things we've asked her that we thought should have been easily answered but they were not. Overall pleased to have Alexa in the family.

After getting an Alexa for the living room, we fell in love with it. Granted, the sound from the Dot isn't as full as Alexa, it's great! We have 2 kids attending online school courses, and it's awesome organizational tool in addition to all the other nifty things they offer. We use our Dot to play music at bedtime. Buy one!

I have been so excited to connect my home and the Echo does just that. Very easy to set up to my wireless network.

If you looking for a simple, inexpensive solution for a home personal assistant, this is it. This does NOT come with a speaker deigned to play music - even though it can. The speaker is meant to communicate with Alexa. If you plan of lsten to music. Get the full size Eco, not the dot. If you have a static (one you don't move) Bluetooth speaker. Then you can pair the Eco Dot with that speaker to play music. Great addition for home entertainment systems.

I used to trip over the bed at nite and now I tell Echo to turn off the light with the help of my Wemo wall outlet.

I bought this as a Xmas gift but they are hounding me for a review. It was easy to buy online and shipped quickly.

Saw it on sale before Christmas and bought it. Never really thought I would get one but I am really happy with it. Great for getting weather forecasts, ask it to play a song it does, a lot of convenient information when asked, even if you want to be entertained by jokes, it will tell you some.

Alexa is very helpful. Using it for a timer and alarm is great. Playing games and getting information is fantastic.
