This product has brought my best friend so much joy. He has not gotten use to it, but he is warming up in using it.

This is my 4th Echo device in our home. We have a bunch of smart outlets, a few bulbs, and a Nest that can all be contthrough the Dot. We love the automation that can be had with these.

Works as described for the most part, voice commands sometimes need to be repeated because it doesn't speak drunk

Echo was easy to install and works well with my Sonos. Sometimes it doesn’t hearvor do what is asked.

Easy set up was simple and it works as it should plus it works with my Iris by Lowe's system and my WEMO

this device is very usefull if you like to listen to music. just ask abouta song and it finds it in its data base

The Eco Dot is a lot of fun. There are numerous things one would like to know but don't have the time to look up.

I bought one for all of my nieces and nephews! They will all have a blast.

Had no idea the extent to which Alexa and Echo Dot can help. From entertaining the kids, to ordering dinner, Alexa has become my new go to search engine. Simply call her name and make a request, she'll do the rest. Great item to have around the house. Heading to pick up another one for the downstairs this weekend, in fact.

Has some limitations that seem like they shouldn't be a problem for Alexa, but overall a really nice system that works nearly flawlessly with my Hue and Nest systems. I'll be buying another soon so I don't have to shout from the bedroom to turn off lights.

Love My Echos. I purchased this one for my office and it's nice having a personal assistant that I only pay once.

We saw the price - $39!!! - and knew our children and grandchildren would love them. My grandson asks Alexa about the temperature every morning. We'd buy a few more if the price went down to $39. Well worth the cost. We have a "tap" and while it has a speaker we have to touch it to activate it. The dot would come in handy!

Got this on sale to try it out, and been very pleased! Use it primarily to tie into other home automation systems to control my lights and thermostat, and hook up bluetooth speakers to it to quickly play music wherever I am in the house. Great buy, and have enjoyed the automation it does for me!

Echo dot works well and is simple to set up. I found out quickly though that it is not a necessity but a fun toy. After the initial excitement wears off I only use it for weather reports, shopping lists and music. I could easily live without it. It is a luxury item and a novelty item. I am glad I bought it as the price is low and it is interesting. However, I am concerned that everything I say into it is being recorded. For what purpose? Skynet is coming.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to get this. I ask her to play music, tell me a story or how I look for the day.

Able to tell the temperature in my house and turn on and off my bedroom light without getting out of bed now and stumbling around in the dark. :) Just a few of the things you can do.

Amazon - Echo Dot (2nd generation) - Smart Speaker with Alexa - Black is worth every penny. It turned my household into a smart home. It helped with keeping me up on the cutting edge as my home has been transformed into a smart home. It is compact and I can place it anywhere in my dynasty.

The Echo has added an easy access for my non tech husband, he can now turn on his radio speakers in the backyard with a simple command, ask the outside temperature and weather, set the timer to heat the grill, ask for the current news. We are just learning how to turn on lights and change the colors of those lights.
