Very competitive with Google home. Certain areas like changing colors on my philips hue is not available in this product. There are features available thatvare not in Google home.

I purchased these for my grandsons and they love it. Each of them can personalize it and they really enjoy setting their own alarms and hearing a joke before they go to school. They also like to start the day off with Alexa telling them a joke and the weather forecast too. Great gift and enjoyed by all!

I have the Alexa Echo in the living room an decided I wanted the Echo Dot for the bedroom so I can check to see what my news is for the day and the weather. At night I love to play relaxing music and I set the sleep timer which is wonderful then I don't have to worry about it going all night long. Love this Dot!

They forgot to include the smart plug Purchase this during Black Friday where there is a Smart plug that supposed to be included for five dollars on them I got it very disappointed

Great product and easy to use. Very easy to set-up. Highly recommend the product and Best Buy is a superb retailer. Kids love asking Alexa questions and we use for all kind of different functions. Calls, sending messages, setting timers or alarms, shopping list and purchases from amazon and tons more.

I use it for traffic status, weather, and home automation. It’s super easy to set up. Would highly recommend.

Purchased this Dot for my buddy B.Waltz the Point Guard he calls himself. Gave it to him for a gift which was on his X-mas list. He was good this year so he deserved it. Works great with the App and he can controll almost everything in his crib. Commands like "Alexa have Seegmiller inspire me today" are his favorite.

Added this Echo to my home to start my smart home automation. It really helped automate alot of manual tasks.

Pretty much seamless with my wemo plugs and my BOSE SoundTouch Get my news, music, and general info on demand. But, my sons name is Alex and all our conversations are recorded when i call his name. I changed the wake up name, but this thing keeps a voice history of all conversation it hears . BIG PRIVACY BOO-BOO!!!!

I felt worth paying for this small gadget. It saves my time, typing in google . Great idea for a budget gift.

I purchase the dot and an outlet plug together as a promotion and I use it to turn off and on the Xmas lights

The native functions were useful, but I bought for the voice control of my light. I personally found it awkward to control my lights with the required structured verbal commands.

We have several Echo's and i'm so glad they now made the echo dot with a built in speaker. We love our Echos!

My first echo dot died in just 3 months, with that being said this device is packed with tons of info and conveniences. I'm hoping that this device lasts longer than my first one.

I bought one of these for myself and a friend loved it so I bought her one to. Really good for bed time music

This works well connected to a blue tooth speaker, otherwise it's too quiet. Otherwise it's a great addition.

Never thought I'd give in to something like this. But love it's functionality. Still working out a few things.

You need to work with Alexa to get things done it’s not as easy as it looks. You also need to download everything first to have I.t do exactly what you like so just give her time.

Alexa is perhaps the most versatile assistant on the market, but as an Apple user there are integrations that are missing. Receiving calls and messages would be a welcome addition.
