I use my Dot to control my lights, Door Locks, and thermostat through Iris by Lowe's. But I also enjoy being able to just ask Alexa to play music, read from the Bible, add items to my shopping list, or even order from Amazon. I am constantly learning new features that she has to offer! Highly recommended!!

This is an awesome smart home device. It’s my second echo dot. I use it to control my outdoor patio lights from LIFX and to play music. I control other things such as my tv and indoor lamps with my first echo inside my home. I also use it as an intercom and can call home to it by using the app.

It is ok however, there is so much you need to do to it to have it work. It also costs more to download more things to make it work.

I've got it hooked up with my Phillips Hue bridge and lights on 3 levels of my home. I use Alexa to play music, set timers and reminders and to turn my lights on and off and dim them or change the color. Even my wife who hates technology is using the dot's I've purchased. I have one on each level of my home.

I got this and two more for myself and as Christmas gifts. The price was perfect as DoorBusters on Black Friday and I expected them to be good. They turned out great and extremely popular. I am glad Echo was on sale. The size is perfect and technology is same as the speakers that made it famous.

I have purchased several Echo Dots and placed throughout the house. It is great for calling or dropping in on your loved ones in a different room or upstairs when I am down stairs...etc. Sound is fine for what I use it for. I have the original full size Echo as well! Great item and great price!

A great product, I'm still figuring out the functionality and how to connect home devices to the system.

Alexa wakes up whenever she thinks she hears her name. Be aware she’s always listening. I wish there was an option to repeat alarm. Other than that, it’s a pretty cool device.

This is a great option that is a little less expensive than the Echo. I love it paired with the new Voux!

I found that this product works very well with giving me information on current news topics and weather.

I love it so convenient. A friend of mine got one and the more he talked about it the more I wanted one.

I have five Amazon echoes in my home now. I have over 200 automations with Samsung SmartThings, Philips Hue lights, Sonos speakers and two Liftmaster garage door openers. Everything is voice response thanks to the Amazon Echoes. This is a great system, very well worth the investment and improving all the time.

It's a great machine. Want to know the weather just ask. Want music? Just ask. Volume is very,very good.

My son loves it! His older brother has one and from watching him have fun with his Alexa. He wanted one.

Love the Amazon Echo Dot. I have it connected to a Bose speaker and it sounds great. The speaker in the Dot is not that powerful but works well enough for news updates and to have background music on. If you have a portable speaker then you can buy this product instead of the Amazon Echo and save some money.

Love the integration with various IoT devices. Very easy to use and kids are enjoying speaking to Alexa.

I love my dot - the product is great for the price. So many "skills" which are like little apps for this cute little machine. Makes your life easier, fun and decent sound for a small device. If you are looking for great sound go for the full size echo, for the price this is great as an extra for any room.

Just as expected. Liked it so much I bought a bigger one, much better sound.
