This is a very neat product. Easy to use and install. Every now and then it'll ask me to repeat what I said with me saying the command word but that only happens occasionally. Overall it works great and very helpful with smart devices like bulbs and other connected devices.

I bought the Echo Dot as a birthday gift for my 8 year old. It has proven to be so helpful when there are homework problems that i myself dont understand. He has also learned how to tell Alexa to wake him for school at 7:00 am and saves me the trouble! He talks to Alexa everyday! Great purchase!

I love having Alexa in every room of my smart home. Small footprint fits anywhere & does everything I need it to. The only con is the audio quality when playing music

Is our 4th echo/dot, 2 at my house and 2 at my wife's art studio across town. In addition to listening to music, radio, using for alarms & timers, we CALL each other while she's at her studio. Acts just like a speaker phone, sounds good and don't need to dial or use my hands to call.

I hesitated with the purchase but glad I did. Alexa is probably tired of me but she is great to talk to. I tell her good morning everyday and she tells me what day it is and any current news. I ask her whats up she then gives me the run down of time, weather etc. this is definitely a great buy.

I haven’t used it all that much. I didn’t think you would have to use an additional speaker. The volume is ok without, but better with. I purchased a few as presents.

I can't say enough how much I love these amazon products. Echo is going above and beyond what I expected. The only thing I disabled is amazon buy since I didn't want my kids to just ordering whatever just to see if it really does work. Since I bought mine my entire office has gone out and bought one

I won the Echo at an event and loved it. I purchased this to use in another part of my home. Alexa has fully become a part of the home automation system and our family as she controls lights, the fireplace, ceiling fans, and our entertainment system. My initial thinking was that the Dot went along as an accessory for the Echo, but now I understand that it can be used on its own without having to own both. The Dot works just like its larger, more expensive sister, Echo. "Alexa" still answers when you ask her anything. The benefit of the Echo, in my opinion, is the much better speaker system. But if you aren't going to play music, the Dot should work just fine for you.

I was hesitant, but it is really useful! I ended up buying one for my mother as well. the "drop in" lets you call each other and talk like a speakerphone. today i asked for a recipe with rice and eggs, and it can back with several . my wife likes the "add to shopping list " best.

Bought this as a present over the full size echo since it has the same functions at half the cost.

The Echo Dot pairs perfectly with my other dots and my ecobee4 thermostat. Decent sound for music.

I bought 2 echo dots to go along with the amazon echo I purchased. I put the dots in the bedrooms and they're able to do just about everything the echo does. The only difference is the echo has a better speaker. But the dots have good sound for not having the type of speaker the echo has.

I got these for my Teenagers as Christmas gift- perfect alarm clock, music on the go-fun tech toy.

Our family has so much fun with our Echo products, we decided to purchase them as gifts this year.
