I purchased this with a free gift card I got at work. I was unsure of the Amazon Echo and didn’t know if I would use it. Now after having for over six months I can say I bought two more and converted most of my home to a smart home with the addition of an Echo Show.

This is my third Echo Dot. I got it on sale for $20. Easy and inexpensive way to start your “Smart Home” project. I chose this 2nd Gen Dot because of reviews of the 3rd gen, which indicated that 2nd gen hears better and has a much smaller plug. I’m very happy with it.

Easy to use & handy. I can get the weather any time I want, make grocery lists & get information.

A simple & effective device for senior citizens! No confusing directions & only 4 buttons to push.

Fortunately I work for a software company and my "guys" programmed the dot to do some cool stuff!

Is excellent for streaming music, getting information and automation of some household activities

The Echo Dot is a great, inexpensive way to enjoy Amazon Echo's "Alexa". Initially I thought the Dot needed to be paired with the Echo to work, but thanks to Best Buy salesperson, I realized that wasn't necessary. With the sales price, it was about 25% the cost of the Echo, but mets my needs. However, you may wish to consider linking it with a good set of speakers to improve the audio experience. Well worth the money.

This generation of Smart Home Voice Assistants just got more affordable with a price drop and special holiday pricing - Alexa can control untold number of smart devices, can answer questions, place orders and more now everyone can afford their own personal assistant!

Bought this so my daughter can have in her room. It helps her out setting alarms, playing music before getting ready to go to school, checking the weather and even letting us parents drop in to letter know when dinner is ready. All in all a great little device!

Use this for all my home automation products and also in the kitchen for conversions and recipes

I got one of these fro my daughter and one for her boyfriend at Christmas. They both love it and are finding new ways to put it to good use. We bought them when they were on sale and then you couldn't find them so I was glad we got them before they were all sold out. Would definitely buy again.

I am very happy with the Echo. I am able to use it with my SmatThings system and Sonos speakers.

The coolest little gadget ever! Being able to hear the latest news just by asking is so awesome!

The speaker is somewhat loud but it is a smaller device. Still is great as the bigger echo.

This thing is so cool and smart that it kinda freaks me out. I constantly get emailed updates letting me know what Alexa can do next, like play jeopardy and order Lyfts (which I have yet to try). But it's always awkward to yell at poor Alexa and not say please and thank you. I'm working on that.

Love the Amazon Devices. I bought this as a gift for my Sister. I previously got the Amazon Echo for myself. I enjoy listening to the news and music. Really an added benefit of my Amazon Prime Account. I've just scratched the surface of this product. Still learning new things I can do with it:)

This item is in my son's bedroom and he uses it for an alarm, to play music and to have fun.
