This is our 2nd Dot and it works great. Pairs easily and connects to our WiFi without any issues.

I bought this on sale to give it a try before spending more on the larger echo. It works great. I was able to hook it up to a speaker I already had via an audio cable for great sound playback. It also connects to my Bluetooth speaker every time I ask it to for more portable sound.

My boyfriend got this for Christmas today. He’s been having a lot of fun with it and it’s better than expected. You can ask Alexa to play music, tell jokes, what the weather is for the day, etc. very neat device and definitely worth the very low price I got it for.

My wife bought me an Echo and I originally thought that it was just a nice kind of gimmick. As I looked into it I learned that it was actually very useful and so I bought a couple dots as well. I have them around my house strategically and they are great. Sound quality is not great but I will say that when you have a couple dots all connected, sound quality seems to get better. Love these things.

I bought one to supplement my sonos speakers integration was easy. Kids love playing with Alexa

The Amazon Echo Dot has 1,000s of skills. Many of the skills are about news. I also like that you can ask the Dot to play different types of music like only songs from 1966 or songs for Roger Daltry. I also like all the Star Trek skills like firing photon torpedos.

I like the new look. I had the original and had to upgrade it. Its nice and Alexa is awesome.

I wasn't sure if I would use this for the ways I saw in the reviews, but I have and I love it!!

Love our echo. Getting for younger family members for their bedrooms. They enjoy playing games.

Very useful product. I’ve read many negative comments about the speaker when compared to generation 1. The speaker is fine to me. Just lacks base but does its job.

The Dot has become an integral part of our home in a very short time. Alexa can hear you from up to 40 feet away and carry out your commands with ease. The system integrated with my thermostats and light switches in just a few minutes. I bought the Dot for the size but the smaller form factor did impact speaker quality so if you want better sound get the Echo. Otherwise I would recommend anyone to get this device!!!

Got a few for my kids as a gift. Probably more exited about the intercom feature than anything!

I chose the echo dot because I already have the echo and another dot and they have made more connective advances that others in the field have not yet experienced

Best buy ran a promotion that made the prior generation Echo Dots very inexpensive so they made nice Christmas presents for the kids. We already had the Echo, connected to a Smart bridge to control lights, and now the kids can use voice control from their rooms as well. And with the 'drop in' skill, we now have an intercom system so the yelling from room to room has lessened.

I now have 3 dots as well as an Echo. They help my husband, who has difficulty operating simple things, such as the TV remote sometimes, gain some independence. He can play music and turn on and off the lights in the house as needed. Not a lot of technology know-how is needed to set it up.

This makes a great gift. It’s cool and funny. Ask it if unicorns are real and see what it says!

The biggest myth is that you need speakers for this device. It works fine for day to day use without additional speakers. Works great with IFTTT and aside from frustrations with her being occasionally stupid, as a whole I like her. I use this with my WeMo home automation, as well as IFTTT.

This is a wonderful product. I like the white one because I was able to decorate it to our room.
