I was a little hesitant to purchase the DOT because we are an Apple Family. BUT the DOT works good with the Apple Products. We are also a smart home and helps with the lights and controlling the HVAC. There are disadvantages though as well. Sometimes Alexa doesn't recognize a command or what you are saying. A little training should help some but we'll see. Overall though mostly happy with the purchase.

Sent one to my niece (13 yrs) and she loved it. works well with smart home devices. however, security needs improvement and user identity validation is missing.

I love being able to create shopping lists, play my favorite types of music, set timers when I'm cooking and get current weather. Best personal assistant ever! Best birthday gift ever. The gift that keeps on giving!

Great gadget. It can really be anything, i have this one in my bedroom as an alarm clock and use it to play music on a sleep timer. She gives me the news in the morning and can turn the light on and off for me... Great product!

Echo dot is very useful and very trendy. Only disadvantage is it always have to be plugged on

This product has provided countless hours of enjoyment, it is useful in managing applicances.

I've had this product for about a month now. I have had a few problems with it understanding myself and my sounds requests. I do find it a little frustrating that you have to know and add the right questions to ask in order for Alexa to understand. The requests seem to be somewhat limited. I hope Alexa is updated to be conversational like Google home. I believe it would really be a great enhancement to Alexa.

The Echo Dot is a great gadget. I use mine with smart plugs to control my lighting. It is also really helpful with organizing my life. I frequently use it in the kitchen to set timers while I'm cooking. This has made mundane tasks more convenient, which is it's true purpose.

We have several of these scattered throughout the house the niece and nephews love to ask Alexa to tell jokes and the rest of us love having the ability to ask it to play songs from any decade. Must have a music service for that though and we have amazon prime.

Love her! Want one in every room, I use it everyday to listen to music and check the weather.

I love my Alexa. There is so much to do on it and I’m learning more and more how slick it is.

The Dot is very versatile . I simply wanted it for music with my Blue tooth speaker. It is simple to use. The only thing that disappointed me was that I could not use two blue tooth wireless speakers at once. I also have the Echo and its sound quality is much better than the Dot by itself

My sister has one so I love it and wanted one of my own. So I got two for myself and love them

If you own a sound system, the Dot is a perfect companion. We have it connected to our stereo with the 3.5mm jack and it works perfectly. Alexa is used to play music from Spotify and Amazon Music as well as turn on and off our lights using a Belkin Wemo smart plug we purchased separately.

I bought 2nd Generation for me. Granddaughter took it over she doesn’t know got this for her.
