We have been using the Echo for several months and enjoy it. We purchased a Dot for each of our children to use in their bedroom and at college. They really like the information and music they can get from Dot just by talking to it. Works great and its functionality keeps growing.

This was my first Echo device and first proper introduction to Alexa. While the quality of the speaker leaves you wishing you had purchased the fullsized Echo or Echo +; it's still a very low investment into this AI realm. No, it won't control your smart thermostat or your smart lights. But it's like a first date. Or a first couple of dates where you're getting to know this new personality and determining whether it's suitable for you and your environment. If you decide to embrace all that is Alexa and expand on her capabilities with another Echo device (non-dot) for the purpose of home automation, this lil dot will still be beneficial in non-automated areas of your home, thus not a wasteful investment. Unless you find that you hate the AI, miss your tinfoil hat and insist that the 2nd coming of Christ is masked as a mass-culling from our alien overlords; the Echo Dot is a fantastic lil gadget and fun to toy with.

It works really well and connect with all my devices. We have it in our living room to control the lights and ask questions. The sound is not good for music but we have another speaker in the living room anyway. Love it and want another one for our office.

In being a very faithful Apple devotee, I can truly give a resounding applause to this products for the simplicity and ability to pick up on your voice from a considerable distance. I’m thoroughly impressed with this product and plan on putting them all throughout my house.

Helpful little unit for my smart home... fun changing channels on tv/sat especially when the remote is no where to be found... slowly adding features as time goes by... if only i could get it to get the kids to make their beds?

Altho this is the gateway to controlling everthing, the lack of printed info how to get this to control along with what devices are needed to make it work

Everything you would expect from an Alexa product. Compact design makes it perfect for use in small spaces like a bedroom. Decent quality sound. Great for using for music, an alarm clock or checking the weather

Works as well as my other Dot and provides great access to the Internet for my 90 father.

Get the Generation 3. The 2s are good if you are not going to be using them for music or anyplace that is loud. I still love ours, but it is not in a noisy area. The 3rd Generation however is MUCH MIUCH loser and clearer in my opinion. I use this in the bathroom with the acoustic quality is greater and it seems to be a good fit.

I would buy again! I bought one and plan to buy at least 2 more for other parts of house.

This is for my 12 yr old. He loves tech items and I think he’ll like this and the price was right on Black Friday.

Very happy with purchase so far. Can do much more than I anticipated. Will be buying into smart light switches soon because of this. I had an issue with setup because of my network configuration, easy fix though. Just had to enable my guest WiFi and connect to it.

It's a cute little device that serves its purpose for a bedroom. I love that Amazon had finally allowed the dots to sync w/ the echo's. The speaker is actually a little better than expected. Although sometimes I think it has a bit of an issue hearing me call it. Either way it's a great complement for additional rooms or upstairs for 2 story homes if your Echo is on the 1st floor.

The product is good but speaker is small. I have both this and the big one so its working perfectly. Amazon Prime subscription is going to make it better.

I've connected my eco with other speakers throughout my house and it works really great!

We are extremely pleased with the Echo Dot being in our home. Not only does it help by connecting to different home appliances and playing our linked Pandora stations, but it also serves as a handy way to populate our shopping list from anywhere we are. Would definitely recommend.

Purchased for my dad for Christmas, but my kids both have one. It’s the perfect present!

It’s a great product. Strongly suggest it if you are trying to go automated in the home.
