Brought for father-in law as gift. I own 2 nice little gadget to have around the house.

I love what this little piece of equipment can do. I didn’t initially connect it but after a friend told me what all it can do I decided to connect it. I’ve been addicted since then. I have invested in other echo devices for myself and family members.

I have 3 echoes that I use for my smart home. Works without any flaws. Great product...

I have the echo as well, and the dot is just as fantastic, volume is not quite as loud as echo but it's still worth it. When the wife cleans and I'm in a different room we both can listen to different radio stations at the same time. It's been a great experience for us.

I like that this is an inexpensive compliment to the original, and it can be placed pretty much anywhere. (I use mine in the bedroom as an alarm & information assistant (checking time, weather, etc.) The overall sound quality is nowhere near the larger model but, of course, this should be obvious to any buyer, and I did not purchase mine to be used as any sort of primary music playback device.

Love Alexa and love this version, easy to set up and works great. Whole family loves it.

I have bought a few of these to send to Canada, which does not yet have Amazon Echo products. They make for excellent gifts if the recipient has Spotify or Amazon Music Unlimited. If they don't have a music subscription or compatible lights, then it seems pretty useless.

Have several of these and they work great. Can be used as intercom throughout the house

I have been considering buying an Amazon Echo since they first came out; however, I thought to myself...is this something that I would use more than a few times? Now that Amazon has created a less expensive version of the Echo, the Echo Dot, I decided to give it a try. After a day of use I could not be more happy. This thing is amazing! The setup is easy and even with my TV on "Alexa" will hear my commands. If your not familiar with the Echo or Echo Dot "Alexa" is the trigger word that turns it on. You can say things like..."Alexa, whats the current weather" or "Alexa, play me 90s music." I can even ask her things from another room and "Alexa" hears it! Overall, I am very satisfied with my Echo Dot. If your wondering this is the 2nd generation Echo Dot.

I have been using my echo dot for a month and fully enjoy it. I have not done any connections to electrical switches or outlets but it is great fun to listen to music and ask questions of. Best Buy had a great price on it and the speaker is surprisingly good for being so small.

Bought 2 of them for my mom. I already had 2. They're honestly so awesome. I can listen to music, the news, play games, pretty much anything! I connect my iPhone to it all the time and stream my podcasts and audible library. I'd highly recommend it.

Alexa rules. And when you add a couple Dots, your house is covered with everything to need to stay current. This guy does NOT possess the sound quality of a full blown Echo. So I always add a Bluetooth external speaker. Even the cheap ones help out.

Absolutely love this, control my Lutron Casetta wall switches, change my house temperature with Honey Wifi Thermostat and can tell Alexa to play any song from Spotify connected to my stereo with an auxiliary cable. Next on my list is adding cameras to Alexa skills!

We bought 3 for the house for Xmas. They are a good gadget that we are probably just scratching the surface for what it is truly capable of doing. We use for an alarm clock, timer, get a joke or play music. I am sure that there are many more uses and look forward to using more.

We use this in the house for Christmas music a lot. The wife uses it for all her music.

My ECHO DOT is just FUN! The whole family is enjoying it and we find we learn from it. We tried talking to some new phones we got and found the things we do with the DOT also work with the phones! So much time is saved by being able to talk with these gadgets. Great purchase!

I really do like this more than the option that Google provides way more comprehensive
