Works good for what it is suposed to be. The only thing I didnt like about it is the fact that it has to stay plugged in. You would think that amazon would have made it completely wiresless and portable but it's not. I got it as a present for someone but I wouldnt get it for myself. I would rather go for a complete wireless speaker, having Alexa doesnt make that much of a difference to me. I could go without her and get something more cheaper and works the same.

I almost can’t believe we are here with technology. The fact that devices like this can integrate many smart objects in your home is amazing to me. The Echo Dot is well worth its price tag. It makes you feel like you are doing something really cool with technology.

We purchased this as a gift, and she loves it. After having seen the commercials, she knew this is something she wanted. She is thrilled to have Alexa.

This thing is great, we have this upstairs and the echo down stairs. Perfect complement to one another. They link together, giving you seamless music and helpless at any moment. It's like Siri for your house. Plus if you use it to shop on amazon you get money off your purchases

We've already had the Echo since the summer, and was contemplating purchasing this. The price was right, and after connecting it in another room, wondered why we waited so long. Love the fact that it connects to the home speaker system also to listen throughout the entire home!

This device was purchased primarily as a "radio", but it is so much more! Lots of fun.

The Amazon Echo is a great personal assistant! I plan on purchasing another one later.

The echo dot is a great accessory to a Bose speaker my wife bought me. Now I can walk in and ask for 90s alternative and have music without pulling out a phone or laptop. Also it's great for the shopping list feature and for getting weather to know what temperature to expect.

I love the Echo. I purchased for my office. I don't have to fumble with my phone to turn on or off music, to check weather or to just ask questions to help me with conversions during work. Example, Alexa, how many ounces are in a gallon..This saves me a ton of time. Love my Dot.

I currently have 2 Alexa's in the home and they are amazing. From morning news as I'm getting ready for work to turning my lights on and off as well as changing the colors. Easy to use and easy to set up. She will even read your books to you from audible. Highly recommended

I purchased this with a harmony hub package and gave it a shot. I did a comparison of this Dot to a Google Home mini and we kept the mini instead of this. I felt like this took a lot more effort to make work than the Google mini and wasn't as natively intuitive. However, I ended up giving this to my brother and he LOVES it, so ultimately it just comes down to user preference.

Purchased this item at least four times for myself and family members. We all love it!

Alexa works wonders without having to reach for the phone or get up I love this thing!

If you are into the Amazon echosystem, then having Echo devices around the house is a must. I have an original Echo in the family room, an Echo Dot down in our theater room and now this one for our sitting area. Great way to inexpensively expand your Echo network.

The amazon dot is much smaller (and cheaper) than the echo and tap, but it uses the same software. I even believe that this generation dot has better far field voice recognition than the echo. Use it with WeMo products and it's great for controlling lights, switches, and plugs.

This is our 3rd one. We have one in each room. Easier to say "Alexa" than "Hey Google"

I really liked it because it is very practical, considering a regular digital clock costs half of the price already. Alexa is smart, I used it to set daily alarm, listening to news, music, and audio books. I even asked her to sing a birthday song and a Christmas song before and she granted my wishes, lol... however, I wish it could be more fun like Siri. Totally worth it for it's price though!

Controls via voice my lights , music , fake fireplace and work out room fan. Easily connected via bluetooth to aftermarket speakers for my music. Simple to setup and always reconnects after an electric or wifi interruption. Owners of multiple dots.
