My best friend need this for his Mom to help get information on regular basis....so she is able to keep up quickly with the weather, news, or ask some questions. Has this item in one room and the newer visual screen version for the living room.

I love that you can play games with Alexa like name that song. We had so much fun!

The echo dot is great. It has so many options and ton of great games you can play.

My wife bought the echo dot for me. I didn't even know what it was let alone want it.but now I'm glad she did! Music weather news on demand it's great! I do recommend getting a decent Bluetooth speaker to go with it. Or just get the echo but I am very happy with it.

Alexa is so cool. From grocery lists to timers and help settling family disputes .

Got one of these a few months ago. Had so much fun with it got a second one to use on the second floor. Can play music, control a TV ( when used with a Harmony hub).,set timers, etc. For the price (got this as a Deal of the Day) much better deal than a Google Home.

It has past my expectations for what I needed and more. Definitely telling friends.

The Echo Dot is a great addition to my home. Although it can do many things, my family mostly uses it for adding items to our shopping list, checking for the weather and the traffic to the work place in the morning, playing our music from Pandora, iHeart and Amazon Music, and a general timer for cooking and timing the kid's playtime. Alexa even converts measurements (cups, pints, etc). We have used it as a calculator too. We use the Echo Dot and ask Alexa for her assistance while mostly on the run so it saves us time. At some point I'd like to add the Philips Hue lighting system so Alexa can help with turning our lights on and off at certain times of the day. The Echo dot is very responsive; just place in a central point in the home. It also needs to be plugged the whole time even though it looks to be very portable. It can be paired with a blutooth speaker or connected to a bigger sound system by audio wire.

Really easy to use, setting up was also easy. You quickly get answers to all of your good questions. You can connect to bluetooth speakers easily and control it using alexa. I was able to connect it to my Fire Stick also and controlled some functions of the stick using alexa. I will have teach it some more skills.

Great tool for answers and information, can be use with a smartphone for home use.

I like the ability to ask a question and not have to type something in the Google.

Have three Dots now. Great to control TV, lights, etc. from anywhere in the house.
