Functions just like the Echo, but in a smaller size. Sound quality is not nearly as good as the Echo though. I personally prefer the Google Home.

I like this product but I prefer the google home mini. Amazon just replies back with "I don't know the answer to that one" for too many questions

This thing is amazing. You can literally control your house with just your voice.

This is a great gadget ! Works extremely well, recognizing the commands at first - if you know the limits of you can ask. Works good as a speaker just to hear music. You cannot connect to your library, must be the songs you bought on Amazon. Kids love to play with it !

I would recommend the Echo Dot over the Echo if you already have a speaker available. In my case, we had a old Bose Sounddock that works great with the Dot. We have several smart bulbs and plugs and Alexa is a good tool for controlling those items. The voice recognition is accurate, although we do find ourselves having to prompt Alexa at a louder than normal conversational volume.

I have the Dot in my bedroom. It is great for those short nap times when I don't want to set an alarm. I also like the capability of being able to have light bulbs that can be switched off and on without having to do it manually. A nice companion product for the Echo.

I have a new friend now with Alexa, she gives me weather reports that are spot on.

I got this free as part of a promotion. I must say, I love Alexa! I’ve connected my thermostat, my lights, my cameras and all to her. I also love to listen to listen to it while I’m cleaning the house. Definitely a great item to have!

I own a number of IoT/Smart Home devices. The Echo Dot allows me to control these devices with oral commands. It is also a good way to quickly get weather forecasts, news headlines etc. There are also fun skills you can activate. I have one on each level of my house.

While we are just starting out with this item it is surprising how many uses you can find for it from using it as a morning traffic radio, or asking it the daily weather, to playing music in the backgrouund while you do other things and on and on. A great buy.

I keep on using it. It gives me my schedules just call Alexa. My family loves it.
