Nice device, but was surprised to find that it was not able to answer a lot of my questions. Lots of set up to have it do a lot of the functions. I also recommend buying the buyer protection (I think it was $5 for 2 years). I bought the protection plan and used it because my original Echo would malfunction intermittently and I was able to replace it with a new one.

Love my echo dot. I own 3 of them and they all work great. The microphones pick up clearly wherever you are in the room. Highly recommend.

Bought this for my wife, she basically only uses it for the music playing aspect. But she loves it bc we have Prime Music. My daughter uses it to ask Alexa jokes. Be careful where you put it, if it's close to the tv, will pick up Amazon echo commercials.

Alexa is fun to use. We ask her for the weather all the time and funny jokes

My husband got me the echo dot for Christmas last year & it took us some time to finally master it & then we bought another for the bedroom. I like it for playing music or sounds to relax you so you can fall a sleep... Still Learning new things...

I now own 3 echo dots and counting. If you have any home automation The echo is even more useful. I now control my Nest Thermostat and Tp-link plug so I can listen to music, control the lights, and the heat. Absolutely worth the $29.99 sale price.

This is the greatest purchase I have ever made. I just love the Alexa! I use it mostly for music but it has so many things you can do on it such as; placing orders, asking any question for an immediate response, and the list goes on.. truly a great buy!

Purchased for my parents. They don’t have a lot of space so this is perfect.

I have dots all over my house! There's one in every room! The sound isn't great if your looking for a real sound system but as far as the bedrooms and bathrooms, it's perfect. They also can connect to any Bluetooth speaker for a louder more quality sound.

Got this on sale for $30 and it’s a nice addition to another room for Alexa!

I set up my echo in less than 10 minutes, so easy, so quick and it gave me more confidence in exploring more tech gadgets at my age...82! Also my granddaughter finds it useful when asking alexa a question in regards to her HW/schoolwork.....thanks, Hank K.

I have two of these throughout my home, I have them controlling my outside lights and a few WiFi plugs in home. Don’t have to get up to turn lights on or off, voice control or manually control, plus I can ask Alexa anything.

Great for info (weather, sports, news), entertaimnent (music) or as a home aid. Control fixtures e.g. lights with the assistance of WeMo or for helping in the kitchen with measurements or timers. Takes place of your alarm clock. All for a reasonable price!

I was very skeptical about the Amazon Echo. So, I waited to purchase one and eventually decided on the Dot. I did this because it is cheaper and I didnt need the upgraded speaker. To this date the Dot has been very useful and I look forward to more updates.

We bought 2 Dots to complement the Echo we already had. We use them in 2 upstairs rooms. As expected they were easy to set up and now we whole house audio and a simple intercom. My only complaint is the microphone in the Dot is not nearly as sensitive as the Echo; you have to be much closer for it to pick up your voice for the intercom than it’s big brother.
