This was my first amazon control product other than my fire stick. I love this little thing! The sound quality is amazing! I would definitely get one for every room! I ended up getting the echo plus because I loved the dot so much!

Enjoy this item but still need to get it set up with my Xbox One so i can us it to operate the system. Other that then we enjoy it.

Bought for a Christmas gift, tried it first. Now im buying a couple more for my house. It answers questions while cooking, it had funny responses to things. I plan to connect smart switches to things in the house. Fun and useful for all.

First entry into home automation. Hooked up to a bose bluetooth speaker and linked in sportify, Great for music, daily updates, Jeopardy and more. Getting one for my mother-in-law for Christmas

While you need to learn the commands, once you have it set up and communicating with your various components properly, it is quite seamless. Small size makes it easy to place in a non-conspicuous location (behind a picture, plant, etc).

I was a little hesitant at first, but after playing with it I love it.

I currently have 4 throughout my house. Sometimes u have to yell to get a response and other times talking regular works fine. Enjoy asking questions and use it everyday for a timer and radio allot of the time

I have them all over my house to controls the lights, lamps, hvac, tv and more. Also have a google but it doesn't do as much. Also have and echo. They don't have as much volume but so the Sam plus I can connect to my stereo. Highly recommend.

Enjoy the automation and the ability to connect ring door bell and amazon fire stick to dot. Can have Alexa display amazon prime videos and music. Also ring doorbell shows up on tv if I ask her to display it to fire tv

Fun & useful for any music on Amazon prime, setting timers & alarms, news, weather, lots of free programs to amuse an educate - all on voice command! It learns to understand your voice quickly and is fairly accurate. Nice piece of technology!

Echo dot is a very useful device. Stand alone and it's even get way better when you have smart home devices connected to it. You literally don't have to lift a finger to get things done. Just tell Alexa what you'd like to be done and that's it.

One of the first questions people usually ask when talking about an Echo Dot is what would you really use it for. We actually have 4 Dots in our home. You can ask questions such as measurement conversions, what the weather is like, and many more. We have ours liked to our Samsung Smarthings hub and can use voice commands to turn lights on and off. You can add "Skills" just by going in the Amazon Alexa app. Some the the skills we use are: Sleep Sounds - you can have you Echo Dot play sounds like rain or the ocean to help you go to sleep, SiriusXM - if you have a subscription to SiriusXM you can use the Echo Dot like a receiver, just say Alex play 80s on 8, Hyundai Blue like - I can use the Echo Dot to start my Elantra and even have the temperature set for when I get in. There are so many more skills that I haven't even looked at yet.

Best investment we've made in a while. Alexa makes my morning everyday.

With all the hype, I expected to ask myself how I lived without Alexa. But I haven't. It's a handy device for turning my home automation devices on and off. But for seeking general information, I don't generally find it easier to use than pulling up a browser or phone. However, it's a well-executed device for what it is and the price is right.

Great item. Has all of the features of a full size Echo, for a lot less money, just without the large speaker. The included speaker is adequate for a small room, but if you plan on using it to listen to music, you'll need to attach a better speaker.

Hooked it up to a sound bar and works great with the voice capability.

I like how i can use it with my hue lights and my home theater system.

I have an Echo in the main living area/kitchen open space and purchased a few Echo Dots to use throughout my house--bedroom and bathrooms. Love pairing it with my bluetooth speaker and getting the news and playing music while I wake up or get ready.
