We did have trouble with Alexa at first, it could not have understand our commands, would have to repeat many times to get it to work, at one point so frustrated almost returned product. We stuck with it and now works beautiful with hue lights, playing music asking questions, weather news. If not for trouble in beginning would have given a 5 star

My best holiday purchase....I got one for my Dad because he’s hard to buy for....and after tinkering with his I wanted one for myself. I mainly use mine to check the weather and set alarms but I know she’s capable of so much more.

We have several of these throughout the home now and it is so nice to set routines for them in the morning, play music, and use them as intercoms, and all the other things they can do. Only complaint is that the 2nd gen speakers are not as good as the 3rd gen but these still work well for bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.

Had bought this for my husband in Christmas. I had gone online to see reviews which they were really good and i have to say That he really loved it speaker it self sounds good, good quality, comes in Handy with alexa. We love it!!

Bought this as a gift, but i use it too. It really is fun and informative to use. i check the weather and my commute time before heading out the door each day, i also like to challenge myself with a quick game of jeopardy or listen to music.

I own the original amazon echo and love it, but couldnt see spending another $179 foe a second one. The echo dot can do everything the original can except it doesnt have a good built in speaker and at $49 this device is well well worth it!

It's so exciting to be on the breaking age of technology, we've always thought about using our voice to control our computers, stereo systems and TVs now you can have it for only 50 bucks. This is the best product I've bought in many years.

If you have an Echo then the Dot is a must have add on to round out your Smart Home system. Can stream music to anywhere in home and the intercom feature is great for multi level homes. Sound is quite good for such a small device.

This tiny Alexa enabled device is perfect for the nightstand-alarm clock with all the features of the Amazon Echo. Want one for every room in our home! Just wish you could ask for music in one room and it would carry to the next room/device.

Love the echo service and especially like the aux output on the dot. This allows me to pump the audio throughout my home on higher quality speakers. Amazon integrates with a huge number of smart home products, so this was a no brainer for me

The dot works good, for the price point. I have one in my family room and my master bathroom. The only thing I don’t like is, you have to have the family plus to get unlimited music and to be able to listen to both devices at the same time... I think if you’re a prime member like myself, all should be included..

Alexa doesn't seem to know as much as google, but the dot does what it says it does. Good add on for anyone using Alexa/Echo.

I bought this because it was on sale. It is our 2nd echo dot and we use this one in the master bathroom/bedroom area of the house. We love the echo for playing music, getting the forecast, adding items to the shopping list, etc.

...really wanted to go all in when these first came out, but very glad I bided my time. Excellent product and outstanding edition to our home automation. Plus highly entertaining for music, news, weather, you-name-it. Highly recommend!

Good quality sound and only $4 a month for the premium service with Amazon to get good music selection. I really like listening to it, getting the weather, or finding out when my Amazon packages have arrived.

My wife and I are both over 60 and try to keep up with technology. A friend suggested checking the Dot as a start for making our home a "smart" home. The Dot is easy to use and understand how to add devices. We would recommend it to a friend.
