I like the device so far its only been a few days since we installed it....it's pretty loud and picks up your request if your on the other end of a large living room so far from what I've asked it's been good except for traffic it does not have that capability which I was disappointed on that over all I still like it and worth the cost.

Haven't opened bought it for present. Will know after Christmas

I have the original Echo and love it bit we wanted one for the bedroom so we got the Echo Dot. I recommend this product highly. I added it to my Echo and can you it as an intercom. I have my Sirius acct hooked and use it all the time. at bedtime I use the Alexa skill for ocean sounds , works Great. Get yourself one of these and soon.

I got Echo Dot's for all of my kids and for me and my wife. I keep one in my basement office to listen to music. Great sound quality for such a small inexpensive device. Will be even better once I hook up to thermostat and other devices.

Alexa has trouble communicating with my fire stick tv - she will open a program but not always play it. She especially gets confused playing Spotify music on my fire stick tv - she opens the app but when asked to play song it plays through the echo dot speaker and not my television. She can also only set up 2 alarms within 24 hours - I’d love her to be able to have a recurring alarm. Also, having to say Alexa all the time is irritating. I said celexa the other day just to see if she would respond to any other name and she responded... lol! She has also started to play music randomly or respond to something when I haven’t even said her name - very sensitive device. I do think this device has its perks - it’s great if I am getting ready and need to know the weather, time, news update or want to just hear a type of music - she has very interesting selections. She doesn’t do driving directions though :(

This little device has so much potential. A must for building the home of the future. I have mine tied in with all of my streaming music accounts and with my lights. No more getting off the couch to turn off lights in the other room. WIN!

This product was everything I thought it would be. With the Alexa app I have the ability to access many different functions.

For me, this is definitely the best voice assistant technology!

can;t beat the quality for the money a Great Gift for Christmas

Play unlimited soothing music for my 5 month old grandson while he sleeps. Just a heads up, you do need Amazon unlimited music plan to play the Echo Dot separately from your Echo device. Works great and the baby loves it.

I just ask for the time, the weather, to play music, for a news briefing. It is great. When I say thank you, she says it's her job. Fun to have around. The dot for me is sufficient. Small not distracting. Sits nicely on the night stand.

I'v always wanted to try this thing. While I don't use it like the tv commercials do, I get a lot of good use on it. I ask it questions all the time, like whats the weather and math questions or how to spell something. I really like that you can tell it to play music and it just starts playing music. Pretty neat little thing!

I already have 3 of these in each room and this is the 4th one.
