This was a free gift with the purchase of the Ring Alarm system. I don't use it much other than to turn off the ring alarm by voice. Set up was not as easy as Google Home but does have some nice lights on it.

I bought it for my son for Christmas so he can stop using mine.

This a great addition to the Echo you can conference with both.

Love echo dot, small enough , does not take up much space, alerts me with timers set, and alarms, music available some with package purchase. Answers quick question fast and easily- nice to have in each room of the house

Had no idea what this could do so I bought one for myself to test and found it so amazing that I got a second one for another part of my home and one for my office plus 8 more for holiday gifts. This is truly the perfect gift for anyone.

I managed to avail of the echo early adopter program from Amazon a few years ago, so knew what to expect with the dot. The speaker is decent enough but really shines when connected to our hifi over bluetooth. Skills are fun and useful, as is the ability to play podcasts, music from Amazon prime and iHeartRadio. Definitely worth picking up

My grandad wanted to purchase this so I bought it for him instead. He loves it. He’s not too tech savvy but once we explained how it works he’s all set. He’s happy with the sound as well in his small place.

"Echo" [Alexa] is a great product. I received this as gift. As technophobe, I did not anticipate using it much. It works terrific (as well as the voice "computer" on Star Trek The Next Generation for Captain Piccard -- and vastly better than the computer that Captain Kirk used). My entire family asks Alexa (Echo) over 10 questions per day, and my son bought his own Echo unit. Our most frequent question is regarding weather. Other inquiries include sports scores, news items, trivia, and school-related questions. I especially appreciate that Alexa (Echo) has a sense of humor!! I was pleased to learn that Alexa will play a song at will. Alexa will also play an entire playlist of songs or play a radio station of selected genre. Alexa (Echo) far exceeded my expectations.

This Amazon Echo has good sound quality and lots of great responses to all of our questions. Solidly built, we now rely on Alexa not only for information, but also, as our Alarm Clock in the morning with music.

This a great little device to use to automate some home devices. We have been using the full size Echo since it came out, but now that the dots are out we have been buying more of them and placing them around the house to control several items. Good price for what it does. Remember you have to have a prime account to make them work.

The Echo works great paired with prime. The speaker on the dot is not optimal for music but adequate. Pairing it with a bluetooth speaker or stereo system make the music much better. The app for management worked very well.

I purchased this as a gift for my dad and he loves it. In addition to being able to order products instantly without having to log onto amazon, he's able to ask basic questions, check the weather, and even play trivia games with it.

I like the fact that while I am cooking or baking I can tell Alexa to add items to my grocery list without having to stop and write items down. Especially like the ease of use with Pandora. Still relatively new and haven't used all apps.

We already had the Echo and like it. The Dot was an add on to allow us to have Alexa in another room. Obviously the sound quality is much better from the Echo. If you just want to see what it's all about for the cheapest money get the Dot, but if you at all think you'll use it to listen to music, it's worth it for the Echo.

This thing is great. You don't how beneficial it can be until you start playing with the Skills. Having it read the news, weather, cooking assistance, games. For the price its a great first step into home automation if you are hesitant.

Haven't used these yet but will install soon in our new house.
