I also setup smart lighting using the Echo Dot and Alexa.......super easy and works great!! Works so good I bought one for my parents as well!!

Purchased for my daughters and they set their alarms in the morning - pick music, hear the weather for the day - it's pretty neat.

The only issue that we had was that the echo dot two rooms away would sometimes respond to our commands instead of the one closest to us.

Speaker’s Mate

I got the Dot for this reason cause the Google Home Mini can’t connect to aux out. I have this connected to my Apple HiFi speakers and now I get Alexa with better sound.

Use the small guys in your car too with UPS and car speaker. Add a password for Amazon Prime purchases if you have kids (or a parrot) though!

Easy to use and can ask Alexa anything. You can even ask her to rap or tell you a joke. This keeps things real and helps for the people on the go.
