    My granddaughter who is three and very bright asked Alexa all kinds of things. She jumped up and said "Alexa, I like popcorn." Alexa started telling her all about the different popcorn Amazon sells. After a few minutes of pitching, Alexa said, "Would you like to purchase these?" I immediately said NO and asked Alexa to stop. That concerns me as a child could order things without asking. I have tried to re-create this by saying i like popcorn, do you sell popcorn, etc. but Alexa didn't tell me about what Amazon sells. It could have been a fluke, Alexa misunderstood what my granddaughter was saying but I will make sure I am in the room when my granddaughter converses with Alexa in the future. Has anyone else had this experience? I still love it though!

    Works great I use it to turn on the TV my living room lights I get my news briefing. However to do all that you have to have lots of other stuff. By itself they're good for News music an alarm clock timer things like that. I wish it understood everything as well as Siri did but I'm sure they'll get there someday.

    This is my first foray into the world of smart speakers and so far I like it quite well. The sound quality is not very good but having the ability to connect it to a separate speaker makes up for this shortfall. I am still learning what skills to use but the ones I have tried seem to work as expected.

    I completely depend on my Echo Dot each day for a morning greeting, the news and weather and so much more. The plethora of smart devices I can command with my Dot gives me and my family a sense of security.
