Was not sure if this would work for me since I don't have a Amazon Prime account. To my surprise it is doing more that I thought it would. There is so much more it can do and I'm just stating to learn this.

Since this was on-sale when I bought it, it seemed like a no-brainer purchase. It was easy to setup & even easier to use. It's just an awesome little device & I may need to get some others for other rooms in my house.

Bought this echo to control our home lighting system. It's pretty amazing. We ended up buying multiple of them to put throughout the house. Still lacks some things that Siri can do, but overall an outstanding product.

I've said it before and I will see it again everyone needs to own the Amazon dot. This device makes you feel like you live in the Jetsons era, Voice controls questions timers music can play games in control IOT devices

Works great I use it to turn on the TV my living room lights I get my news briefing. However to do all that you have to have lots of other stuff. By itself they're good for News music an alarm clock timer things like that. I wish it understood everything as well as Siri did but I'm sure they'll get there someday.

My granddaughter who is three and very bright asked Alexa all kinds of things. She jumped up and said "Alexa, I like popcorn." Alexa started telling her all about the different popcorn Amazon sells. After a few minutes of pitching, Alexa said, "Would you like to purchase these?" I immediately said NO and asked Alexa to stop. That concerns me as a child could order things without asking. I have tried to re-create this by saying i like popcorn, do you sell popcorn, etc. but Alexa didn't tell me about what Amazon sells. It could have been a fluke, Alexa misunderstood what my granddaughter was saying but I will make sure I am in the room when my granddaughter converses with Alexa in the future. Has anyone else had this experience? I still love it though!

I love this little device. Its dependable, syncs with my Amazon account, can be trained to provide the information I want, and easy to move around. It is not as loud as the full grown Echo, but I didn't expect it to be. If you have Amazon Prime, this is a no brainer to add to your electronic arsenal.

Very easy to set up. The Alexa app was easy to download and made the setup process go quickly. Also the emails which I received were helpful in establishing a radio library and learning what Alexa can do!
