I have the big one but needed a small one foe home office and this is perfect. I can control the homes smart devices from my office and listen to music, and even intercom to my other echos to talk with the kids

Very easy to set up. The Alexa app was easy to download and made the setup process go quickly. Also the emails which I received were helpful in establishing a radio library and learning what Alexa can do!

Lots of fun, easy to use, but needs a better speaker

It turns on lights, answer questions, and tells jokes. Not exactly Hal 2000 but it's aspiring to be one day.

We each bought one so we could more easily read from our audible and kindle accounts. They're cute and more importantly, very functional. I can just tell mine to add something to my calendar and my husband sees it too since we share most events in the calendar. The message and call function is nice too so you don't have to yell at someone across the house. Also, you can plug it in to a battery pack and take it on the patio for books or music and let your phone do other things. WE also like the alarm feature and using it as a radio is very nice too as well as getting it to tell you all kinds of information and being able to tell iyt to order something from amazon's almost too easy, smile. WE really like ours and would recommend them.

I haven’t really got to dig into all this is capable of doing, considering my 5yr old finds so much more use asking for songs and stories I allowed her to put the device in her playroom.

I got my first Echo right after they were released. I am up to five as of today. When they first came out, they were limited, but as time passed Amazon developed it a lot. The Echo spurred a whole home automation conversion for me due to its voice control capabilities We almost never have to flip a switch or use a remote anymore. All we have to do is just ask Alexa and she takes care of it. It also does a good job of streaming Prime music and tracking Amazon orders. Over the past couple of years the Echo has received a lot of updates to be able to answer general questions about people,places,and things. You can ask her almost anything and she can give you a relevant response. They also make great gifts. I've given three away so far.

I bought the echo mainly to use as an alarm clock in the bedroom. What I found is I am using it for far more than that. I enjoy the music and the many fun skills that I am discovering. This was a very good buy.

The dot has more uses than I have discovered. I enjoy having her within an easy range to so I can ask questions or to make notes or lists. Love the grocery list part that syncs right to my phone. So handy!
